The guide spoke inadequate English, and often did not understand tr, the group was too large, there were far too many people. Organization in itself was okay.

Our guide was amazing. Learned so much history, and the art was breathtaking. To see Michelangelo’s masterpiece on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was a truly divine experience!

We are very glad we chose to take a Vatican tour, as it provides helpful context and allows you to better understand the history and significance of what you are seeing. However, we would not choose this particular company again. We purchased our tickets well in advance, but upon arrival discovered the company also uses street scouts to recruit additional participants. We were asked to follow a company “representative” to two different meeting locations to join others before the tour began, which felt disorganized and not in line with the experience we’ve had with larger, more established tour providers. Our tour guide was kind and knowledgeable, but the pacing of the tour was quite slow. As the tour progressed, much of the group seemed to lose focus, and the guide frequently had to ask participants to help gather others who had walked off from the group. We do recommend taking a Vatican tour, as it truly enhances the experience, but we suggest choosing a different company for a more seamless and engaging visit.

Our guide Alex was wonderful! the Vatican was packed on the day we went, but he didn't rush our group. He patiently explained everything we should focus our attention on - highlighting all the gems of the collection, and he ensured that the group had an excellent viewing point when we got to the museum. I appreciated his patience and kindness with several of the older members of our group and his incredible wealth of knowledge.

Arrived at the meeting point to find out the museum and Sistine Chapel was closed that day due to a holiday however I was charged and not notified of updates. I was able to message Viator through WhatsApp and they were quick to respond however the situation was not resolved as they had to check with the tour operator to confirm the situation. They were unable to confirm the closure, assuming due to the operator being closed. Viator said they would reach out via email since confirmed of the closure. I was quite frustrated because had we known this we would have booked a different excursion or activity.

This is a great your and we truly enjoyed learning everything about the ancient Roman times from Serena, who was both very knowledgeable and helpful.

We were exceptionally impressed with Ibrahim. He is very professional and accommodating. There was a transportation strike on the day we were due to travel and Ibrahim was communicating with us in advance and helping us change our tour time based on when our train would arrive in Rome. Ibrahim went above and beyond! Regarding the tour: The museum was very crowded on Friday. Avoid Fri-Sun tours if possible. The audio sound would break up at times but it was a small price to pay considering the wonder of the museums and Sistine Chapel. Some guides are more enthusiastic and passionate than others.
