We went to the Harbour Christmas Cruise and loved it! Food was delicious and there was live music as soon as we boarded. A great activity to do to celebrate Christmas with your loved ones over dinner and cruise to enjoy the evening scenery!
We had the best time on the Vancouver Holiday Festive Dinner Cruise! We were introduced to this experience by the fabulous Alejandra Ortiz and knew right away it was exactly what we needed to celebrate the year-end. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest staff and guided to our seats, complete with a personalized sign featuring our company name. The staff’s attention to detail and attentive service made us feel truly spoiled. The live music kept us entertained, and the beautiful views of Vancouver's skyline during the cruise made the evening magical. The food was excellent, and I especially appreciated the festive holiday menu offerings. It was such a special night, and we are so grateful for the effort that went into making our 2024 business celebration one to remember. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience!
I joined because I wanted to enjoy the Christmas spirit, even though I was traveling alone, but basically Canadians are friendly and talk to me more and more, and I made friends because of that. You can also enjoy fireworks from the coast, not only Vancouver's night view, but also the lakeside view at the back. It's very cold, so cold gear is a must, but it's a great activity to try during the Christmas season!
What a perfect start to the Christmas Season and to get into the spirit of Caroling together on a boat. A perfect way to experience the Christmas sights & sounds of Vancouver City & harbour from the charmingly lit up Princess Harbour Cruises boat. Charming starts with the perfect hostess Josephine who could be or should be a descendant of the original Josephine Baker of yester years...Enchanting. The buffel dinner is delicious with a great variety of salads, meats and vegetables. Mashed potatoes “ like mother use to make”. Great friendly & attentive service by the staff. The choir of 4 sets the right tone starting at the entrance to set the mood. After dinner the 4 singers get everybody to join in caroling together with all other revelers on board. Everybody gets a song book with lyrics to join in. A splendid evening spend with like minded merrymakers, making for a Merry Christmas time.
This was my first time doing the Carol Ships Dinner Cruise with Harbour Cruises. I have been on all their other dining and tour cruises but this was one gave you a warm fuzzy feeling and definitely got you into the holiday spirit, which I love! Josephine is such a sweetheart and always makes you feel welcome. I always enjoy seeing her and love walking into the office to be greeted by her and her staff. They are all so friendly and helpful! Once stepping onto the Harbour Princess, you are surrounded by Christmas lights and beautiful blue ceiling lights. We were sat at our table and greeted by the lovely wait staff. Everyone had smiles and were very friendly. Once again, gave you the feeling of warmth and comfort. The carolers had such beautiful voices and if you feel awkward and embarrassed like me, especially with no "liquid courage", they will hover over you jokingly to get you involved. It was fun and we went along with it, of course! My boyfriend is pescatarian and I prefer fish over turkey and don't eat pork so I was glad they were able to accommodate a salmon dish as our main dish. The mashed potatoes were so smooth and creamy and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I loved each of their salads, especially the chickpea one! I was far too full to be able to have any dessert, but my boyfriend really liked the cheese cake. After our meal, we went upstairs to the outside viewing deck. They had one small upper deck that was basically just big enough for the two of us. We got to enjoy a romantic moment alone, looking at all the lights surrounding us...BC Place, Science World, decorated trees at English Bay, Lions Gate Bridge, Canada Place and more. It was cold but worth the views! All in all, a lovely experience filled with Christmas cheer!
It's an interesting program but not really special. Limited choice of food and view outside just an ordinary one.
We were on the Carolship Dinner Cruise couple weeks ago with friends and it was just great!! The open buffet had a variety of foods; main dishes were turkey & ham and they were all very delicious, dessert buffet was soo yummy. Carolers greeted us and after the food, we started singing together, song sheets were on each table. It was such a fun and memorable atmosphere. Everybody looked enjoying their Christmas cruise. The boat was big and decorated well. We definitely recommend it and will come back every year with family and friends.

My wife and I were very disappointed in this tour and here are some reasons why...
As the boat departed we had some intermittent music piped into our level one of three which was hard to hear.
Some of the music was not even Christmas music.
We were expecting some commentary about Vancouver having done similar cruises around cities we have lived in or visited even locals can learn something but there was nothing.
The lights inside the boat were too bright making it hard to see outside.
We had the Carol Singers down to our level for one song during dinner but they stood at the bow and halfway down the boat we could not hear them.
After a dinner without carols or music or commentary or sights we then had a singalong with the Carol Singers for about 15 minutes and then they disappeared leaving us with barely audible music again.
At the end there was a disco on the level below ours but it wasn't great and did not feel like a Xmas party at all.
Our server was superficially friendly until we paid and tipped then proceeded to be very unfriendly.
The guy who appeared to be running the cruise didn't crack a smile during the whole evening.
In summary, we were up for a Christmassy, party, singalong cruise and seeing Vancouver but didn't really get anything out of the night. If they changed a few things out and were a bit more friendly it could be a fun thing to do but for us it was wasted time and money.

Went with another couple for the Carol Singing Ship. The food buffet was very limited, but what they did offer was food. Dessert was very poor-no hiding they were mass produced frozen cheese cake and chocolate logs...dry, tasteless. Cocktails were ok, but seemingly virtually no alcohol in them...our table of 4 and another couple we spoke to all discussed not even having a buzz after each drinking 3-4 each...very strange. Carolers spent most time in first deck, neglecting second. When they did come up, they sounded nice. Boat tour was good duration.

The evening was awesome even though it rained most of the evening. The views around the bay were spectacular as we cruised around all evening. The staff on the boat were friendly and attentive all evening. We had a lovely young girl that looked after us all night, she was helpful, friendly and a great bubbly personality, so Thank you Allysandra! The evening was so much fun with music and dancing, great wine and excellent food. A wonderful pre Christmas evening so far away from home!
