Absolutely shocked and disappointed
Embarrassing standing at entrance, getting tickets refused . As was not aware this was cancelled due to technical issues by trip advisor..

Van Gogh Love
I loved the in-depth look into life and evolution of Van Gogh. The audio guide was essential to telling the story. The museum is beautiful.

Get tickets at the venue
Low stars because I’m just not a fan of museums. I found tickets from $120-$150 (USD)on line. When we got there it was $50-ish and $3.50 for the head phones. It wasn’t real crowded, which was nice.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed a quieter visit, and we understand your concern about the price difference. Online ticket prices can vary by seller and by what is included, but your review shows that we need to make our ticket inclusions and pricing clearer. We appreciate the feedback. Audio tour is the way to go.
Words don’t sufficiently cover the experience of this museum. I highly recommend the audio tour to really immerse yourself in Van Gogh and his life. The relationship with his brother was something new I learn and I really told the story of the man/artist.

Must see for any art lover
The Van Gogh is a must see for anyone that remotely appreciates art and/or history. It's very well presented and easy to follow. Saw some pieces I was completely unaware of. To stand right next to multiple original Van Gogh paintings is priceless!

V VAN GOGH - DO NOT BOOK VIA TRIPADVISOR / VIATOR - RIP OFF.
A decent visit, took approx 3 hours and did learn a lot about VVG. However….. the price paid for tickets via tripadvisors / VIATOR was an absolute rip off. They charged me over £105 for 2 tickets which could have been bought on the Van Gogh site direct for only €57. I understand businesses need to make a profit but the price I was charged is an absolute rip off which marred the whole experience.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the Van Gogh Museum and found the experience informative. We would like to clarify the difference in pricing. Our service specializes in providing tickets for dates and time slots that are often sold out or no longer available through the museum’s official website. Securing tickets for these high-demand or last-minute slots can involve additional costs, which is why our selling price may differ from the museum’s standard direct price. The total price is clearly displayed before the booking is confirmed, allowing customers to decide whether they wish to proceed. We understand that the price difference can be noticeable when compared with the museum’s face value. However, our service is particularly useful for visitors looking for availability when regular tickets or preferred time slots are no longer available. We appreciate your feedback and hope you nevertheless enjoyed your visit to the Van Gogh Museum. Kind regards, World Pass Tour Amsterdam

The audio guide is a must
Very interesting to see the stages of Van Goghs life and how it affected his art. The pieces were thoughtfully curated. The audio guide was very helpful and hit enough of the highlights to keep me interested.

Very informative. Well organized and interesting museum. Audio guide was useful
S
Van Gogh! I've said it all.
Museum not to be missed with an audio guide. Price perhaps excessive but Van Gogh is worth this and more. For me, an experience not to be missed in Amsterdam.
