This was absolutely, hands down the best trip we have ever been on. The itinerary was perfect. We got to see everything we had hoped for (the Big 5, local communities and the Ugandan landscapes) plus many, many things we had never dreamed of. The accommodations that Primate World chooses are perfectly paired with the environment you’re in and each one has its own personality. The Ugandan people are some of the nicest we’ve ever met and are incredibly welcoming. We also loved that Primate World goes to great lengths to ensure they pair with businesses that support the communities, local people and sustain the environment for tourists to continue to enjoy responsibly. But what really made the entire tour was our guide George. He was very knowledgeable about all our destinations, was the best animal tracker and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. He even personalized our tour more and more as he got to know us. He has truly become a friend and because of him and Primate World, this “once in a lifetime trip” has become a trip we are already planning to do again with family and friends. If you want to experience the best Uganda has to offer with some of the best people you’ll ever meet, you have to choose Primate World.
We highly recommend Primate World Safaris for a trip in Uganda. We booked a car with a driver for our French family of 6 for 2 weeks in August. Jackson, the manager, was always available to answer our questions about the booking or the country on WhatsApp or by email. The booking was easy and Jackson made sure we were happy with our driver during the trip. Geoffroy, was not only a driver but also a guide and an activity planner. We thank him very much for his kindness and professionalism. He knows every road of his country, including the good ones of the national parks where we saw a lot of wildlife, including the big four (we decided to skip Rhino Sanctuary). Thanks to Geoffroy, we learnt many things about Uganda’s culture and history. He did his best for us to enjoy our stay. Our trip in Uganda would not have been the same without Geoffroy and Jackson. Thank you Primate World Safaris !
Great experience!Rammy -the guide the best I could imagine,so helpful,so informed,so great driver, and so kinde!I realy enjoyed so much every single moment.Thnx Rammy Jackson planed for me a great tour -didnt miss anything, made every day a different adventure--thanks Jackson for that. Lodges and food were exelent all the way-exept in River lodge /Jinja-the place is horible, stuff disappeared and left you all alone in a room with a broken door key and a lot of holes in nets and walls....not worth remembering All the local guides and rengers were so plesent, engaged in explining you everything, helping you enjoy as much as possible-thank them all for hospitality and such a good time The only annoying thing is that I had a lot of problems with monay -namely US $ I had to spend for activities(normaly I took it from my bank). They dont accept any banknote that is older (2013 y.),or with any kinde of fingerprints ,ink spots,.....terrible and unreal!!!Eaven in exchange office they do the same.So , advice for the future traveler -check every single bank note before you come to Uganda ! Highly recommanded for single traveler
Everything promised was delivered. Program and schedule were perfectly planned by Primate Safari. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, good vehicle, excellent selection of lodges. We have no hesitation in recommending Primate Safari. Good job Jackson and Remmy!
We completed our 15 day safari and wildlife holiday on July 2, 2019 and it was beyond our expectations. Jackson did a great job of putting the trip together and adding things that we wanted to see (the Mbamba Swamp tour that allowed us to see the shoebill stork). Every lodge was very comfortable and all of the food was very good. Neither one of us got sick and we ate everything. Of course you go to Uganda for the wildlife and we saw a tremendous amount. If we were to do it again, we would have added on more days in Murchison Falls National Park for more game drives. Lake Mburo at the end was an easy relaxing stay but it was a bit repetitive from what we had seen earlier and on a trip in South Africa. I think Jackson would be more than willing to adjust any of these points. Leticia was our guide and one of the 7 female guides in the country. She was a great guide, driver, and occasionally a mechanic. All of the guides know one another and this came in very handy when she was able to get tips as to where some of the animals were located. We saw everything that we hoped to see - 10 lions in trees, a leopard, a gorilla family, and hundreds of birds, to name a few. A word of advice...don't spend money on the nighttime tour of Kipale Forest in an attempt to see the bush babies. We spent the money and saw nothing but when we saw where our guide was pointing the flashlight (80 feet up) we probably would not have seen anything except a pair of eyes. We did see lots of Safari Ants and Fire Ants as a result of that trek...all over our shoes and socks. If you have the stamina and money...a additional day of gorilla trekking might be a bonus. Our experience was wonderful even though it had poured rain the night before and everything was slippery. Definitely hire a porter for this experience. It is the best $15 (US) that you will ever spend. As an aside, if you are coming from the U.S. make sure that your U.S. bills are ABSOLUTELY NEW - no creases, no writing, no washing, 2013 printing or newer. Be prepared for lots of road construction. Our lodge for gorilla trekking (which was really nice) was 50km (30 miles) from where we were issued our trekking permits by the government. It took us three hours to get there because of the rain and the roads.
