What a wonderful journey Home to Africa has provided us. It was an unforgettable experience. And the guide - William - was fantastic,very responsible, always available and attentive, excellent guide, contributed a lot to this wonderful trip I will definitely recommend Home to Africa to my friends

Our tour was wonderful from start to finish, we saw a lot of animals, stayed in beautiful accomodations and ate delightful food, but what made the trip special was the knowledge and kindness of our guide Benon.

Great experience!! From the first contact with the agency we immediately had a quick response and customer support. The organization phase was very simple and the agency was ready to accommodate changes to the itinerary according to our needs. During the trip, our guide Benon was fantastic! We immediately felt like family and we spent a very pleasant time together. The accommodations booked were amazing and we saw spectacular places. The timing of the tour has always been respected. When we got to the end, we didn't want to believe it was already over! I highly recommend this tour and our guide Benon!

I write this review just after 10 days of touring the wonders of Uganda with 3 of my old friends and our beloved guide Benon. From the very first organizational moments, we found ourselves in tune with the agency, which responded with flexibility and care to our needs. Then what about it! The tour is thought out in detail, with breaks, rests and adventures positioned at the right time, alternating scenarios and experiences with balance and attention. We couldn't have asked for more. Benon, our guide (and immediate friend) was the icing on the cake of this fantastic experience. He added a personal, sweet and precious touch to our adventure, paying extreme attention to our personalities and enhancing them. Thanks to his expertise, we had even more access to the secrets of this wonderful country and learned precious secrets. Thanks to his big heart, we lived 10 days as a family, feeling immediately at ease and getting in touch with this precious, caring, country. We could not be happier: we return home with a serene heart, full of love and wonderful photos, which are the fruit of everything we have received and shared in this adventure. We would have stayed another 10 days, we will be back!

We recently returned from a 10-day customized trip with Home to Africa and it met every expectation and then some. Hedmond was patient, responsive and thorough in answering all of our questions beforehand and the payment system made it quick and easy to book. The cost was a great value for everything that's included and the option to upgrade hotels made it easy to customize what we wanted. All of the accommodations were excellent and unique and the staff were always incredibly kind and welcoming. In particular, we would definitely recommend Twiga Safari Lodge and Elephant Hab - hearing hippos grunting and seeing elephants from your room is definitely worth the upgrade, and the staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were very fortunate to have been assigned to Derrick as our guide - he made the trip memorable in so many ways. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, the parks, the culture, etc., but more than that, he is funny and real and personable and shared in a way that made you feel more like locals than tourists. It was clear everywhere we stayed and went that he is well known, respected and liked which speaks volumes for who he is and that came through every day. He knew what we were hoping to see and was working behind the scenes anytime he could to make sure we had the best experience possible. For me, a good guide takes you where you want to go but an exceptional guide experiences it with you sharing in your excitement even if it's their 100th time - Derrick was exceptional in every way. Home to Africa built the framework for an incredible trip and made it easy to execute and Derrick fulfilled every request with positivity, a calm assurance and laughter - so much laughter! We would absolutely recommend them for your future travels to Africa!

We had the honour and pleasure of meeting perhaps the most incredible Ambassador for Home to Africa! Derrick asked what we were hoping to see during our adventure and he made every wish come true! He was informative, observant of our needs and requests and met us every day with a smile on his face. From the birds, mammals to the reptiles, to the people and to the food! We spend a 10 days trip with friends in Uganda and it was just perfect! Everything was well organized but especially our tourguide Eli made the trip unforgettable :)) best guide eeeever!

We just completed a 10-day custom tour with Home to Africa. We stayed at a mix of budget and mid-level hotels, and they were all excellent. We especially loved Elephant Hab and Twiga Safari Lodge. Payment was easy with their online payment system. We had an amazing experience and loved every moment of our trip. But the best part of our trip, was by far, our guide, Derrick. From the moment he picked us up, the laughs were non-stop! He answered all our questions, spotted all the animals we hoped to see and put us on the best gorilla trek! Everywhere we went, people knew him & liked him. He went above and beyond, every day, to make sure we had the best day, and we did. At the end of our 10 days, he was more of a friend, than a guide, and it was hard to say goodbye. I cannot say enough good things about Home to Africa. From start to finish, this trip was exceptionally well planned and executed, and I felt supported every step of the way. Hedmond was wonderful to work with from the beginning. He communicated clearly, answered my many questions, and thoughtfully designed an itinerary that fit my interests perfectly. Traveling solo to Uganda felt like a big leap, but Hedmond’s planning gave me complete confidence before I even arrived. And then there’s Derrick Rukundo—my guide—who truly made this trip extraordinary. Derrick was knowledgeable, kind, professional, and an absolute joy to travel with. He went above and beyond every single day to make sure I felt safe, comfortable, and fully immersed in the experience. During our safari, he was getting calls regarding wildlife. He would stop and let the other guides know also. When I asked why he was getting calls and other guides weren’t, he said “I’m famous”. And I believe it! Every place I stayed knew Derrick! I was so sad to have to say goodbye! The gorilla trek itself was nothing short of magical. It was expertly coordinated, well paced, and one of the most awe-inspiring experiences of my life. Standing just feet away from a gorilla family in their natural habitat is something I will never forget, and I felt completely supported and well cared for throughout the entire trek. Derrick made sure I had a woman porter to help me in the trek. He lined her up the day before. He said “you’ll want a woman because at times she’ll be behind you pushing!” He was right! She was amazing too! Because of Home to Africa, I had one of the most meaningful travel experiences of my life. I explored multiple national parks, experienced extraordinary wildlife, and accomplished something I am incredibly proud of—traveling solo in Africa. I will treasure these memories forever and would recommend Home to Africa without hesitation to anyone considering a trip to Uganda or beyond.
