Palyoco-bjerget er den nye turistattraktion i Cusco, hvor du ikke behøver den klassiske vandring i mere end 5 timer for at se denne bjergkæde foldet med farver, men du behøver kun at gå i 30 til 45 minutter, og du kan sætte pris på 3 farvede bjerge .

vi begynder at hente dig fra dit hotel mellem kl. 07.00 om morgenen, hvorefter vi tager til den sydlige del af Cusco i gennemsnitligt 2 timer og 30 minutter i vores bil
Vi ankommer til byen Pitumarca, hvor vi får en lækker morgenmad, hvorefter vi fortsætter i 1 time og 30 minutter. Under hele turen kan vi værdsætte Andesbjergenes landskab og en række sydamerikanske kamelider.
Vi når en parkstation, derefter går vi i 40 minutter, indtil vi når udsigtspunktet, hvorfra vi kan se 3 farvede bjerge og stenskoven. Vi vil have 2 timer til at værdsætte og udforske meget af dette smukke sted. Derefter vender vi tilbage til vores bil, og tager til Pitumarca, hvor vi spiser frokost og vender tilbage til byen Cusco

This was well organized and we loved the included breakfast and lunch. Our guide Wally was helpful in meeting the accomodations of our whole group. The views were amazing. Be warned that the car ride is very bumpy and make make some sick. The only downside was the office communication. I had sent multiple messages asking if we could transport suitcases and was finally told we could. The night before I was told we can't, but then they worked it out for us to be able to store our luggage. A bit of a mix up but it worked out in the end.
The drive through the Andes was beautiful, and the stop for breakfast in Pitumarca made it even better. The walk was easy compared to Vinicunca, and the views at the top were breathtaking. Seeing the Stone Forest on the way was a cool surprise. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants the colors of the rainbow mountains without the heavy crowds.
Heber was our tour guide for Palcoyo mountain, he was upbeat and positive and explained every aspect of the tour in both English and Spanish. The tour is very good value considering you are provided with buffet breakfast and lunch, transport and a walking stick. We were also provided with a blanket after the hike which was a nice touch. You are allowed to do the hike independently which I think is really positive as there were some slower paced members of the group and it would be frustrating for us to have missed out on the rock forest if we were waiting for them. But luckily everyone could go at their own pace and Heber would keep an eye on where everyone was. He also took photos for individuals and the group which was nice. This is such a hidden gem still, lovely to explore without the huge crowds you get everywhere else! There was a little bit of confusion with the pick up time - was initially told 4.30 by company and then think Heber was outside at 4.05, however he came back at the agreed time so no issue in the end.
The destination is wonderfull. Not so crowded and very peaceful. The hight is challenging. Would have helped if the guide did not leave the oxigen in the car which was promised to be available during the tour. We went up ot 5000 m. But fortunately we had no real need of oxigen. I very much liked the size of our group. We were just 5 people that day with our guide plus our driver.
