Bethlehem-tur halvdag - Tag chancen for at besøge en af de vigtigste bibelske byer, Betlehem, Davids by. Udover den rige kulturelle side og byens velsmagende mad, vil vi under vores tur have mulighed for at få et guidet besøg i alle tre store kirker i Betlehem. Vi rejser til byen i Betlehem Distrakt kaldet Beit Sahour er en af de to højeste byer i kristen befolkning, vi vil se nærmere på lokalbefolkningens liv og se de fantastiske håndlavede souvenirs, de laver såvel som hyrderne Mark. * Sørg for at medbringe dit pas, da det nogle gange er påkrævet. * På denne tur vil vi vente i kø for at se grotten - nogle gange er der forsinkelser med denne tur, sørg for at du ikke har bestilt noget til eftermiddagen. * Skift af køretøj er påkrævet, alle tider er omtrentlige!

Hyrdets Kapel. Det markerer det sted, hvor englene først forkyndte Kristi fødsel. Shepherds 'Field Chapel er en religiøs bygning af den katolske kirke, der ligger i Beit Sahur sydøst for Betlehem på Vestbredden i Palæstina. Kapellet markerer det sted, hvor englene først annoncerede Kristi fødsel.

Den Hellige Jomfru Marias Orden af Karmelbjerget har ikke en eneste grundlægger, men blev grundlagt af en gruppe eneboere, der bor tæt på "Elias Forår" på Karmelbjerget, med to rødder til deres spiritualitet: Profeten Elias og Jomfruen Mary. I begyndelsen af det 13. århundrede modtog eneboerne en leveregel, som blev skrevet af Saint Albert, patriark af Jerusalem.

Both of our guides were very knowledgeable and interesting. They explained everything and answered all our questions. George, our guide in Bethlehem, spoke Aramaic and said The Lords Prayer over us in Aramaic. We visited the grotto where Jesus was born as well as all the other locations on our itinerary. We were given food and drink surprises and got to visit the local people. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Nothing negative to say about it.

This was a wonderful tour of Bethlehem, milk grotto,Shepards field, associated history, and a great chance to see the surrounding communities. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable locals who were extremely welcoming, kind and gracious. We also appreciated the opportunity to learn more about Palestinian culture.

We enoyed the tour with the family of three being our guides. We felt part of the Palesitinian community. Value for the money was good. Apart from the visits to the grotto, churches, shepherds fields and the fences, we were treated with local delicacies. This was not at a store, so it we did not experience a dressed up sales event but rather an exchange of cultures. Yes, the tour ended at a local souvenir shop of the community, but this was limited to just 20 minutes with no pressure at all. And to our suprise at the end of the tour there wasn't even an opportunity to leave a tip. This was illustrative for the good vibe during the trip.

It was my first time in Bethlehem and I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Our guide Boaz not only was super knowledgable, but his love for this place and its most famous citizen were also so evident and beautiful to witness. We had a pleasant half day tour to Bethlehem in a comfortable small air conditioned bus. A local Christian guide joined us in Bethlehem, and he was very kind and knowledgeable. The tour was focused on the Christian sites, but we also have visited some Banksy graffiti, the Walled off Hotel, and an olive wood carving workshop. The price of the tour was significantly lower than some other options, but I have doubts that they are any better. Unfortunately we did not have time to stand in the one-hour long queue to visit the grotto under the Church of Nativity, but we were tired anyway because of the almost 40 degrees outside.

This tour was one of the absolut highlights of our stay in Israel. The guide, Elias, is super friendly and knows so much about what he shows you. The tour is extremely well organized, you get to see everything as planned (and more!). The gifts received were much appreciated. Communicating with the team before, during and after this tour was always a pleasure, you really feel that Elias & the rest of the team do this not for the money, but because they genuinely love this land and showing it to others.
