Når du går fra borde fra krydstogtskibet, begynder din tur. Turen til Castelmola tager cirka 45 minutter på motorvejen.
Første stop på vores tur er den smukke Castelmola. En lille middelalderlandsby berømt for sin mandelvin og en unik bar: Bar Turrisi. Her, som er inkluderet i turen, vil du have mulighed for at nyde en lille smagsprøve på siciliansk cannoli og lækker mandelvin. Du vil også have mindst 30 minutter til at besøge landsbyen på egen hånd.
Vores tur fortsætter med nedstigningen mod det elegante Taormina. Krydsning af den historiske bue Porta Catania, vi vil fordybe os i byens rige fortid. Vi vil udforske det storslåede græske teater (billet ikke inkluderet), et mesterværk af oldgammel ingeniørkunst berømt for sin betagende udsigt over Etna og på havet. Vi fortsætter mod den fortryllende Florence Trevelyan Public Garden, en grøn oase af charme eksotisk, der tilhørte en engelsk adelskvinde med tilknytning til dronning Victorias hof, som flygtede fra England på grund af en skandale, der involverede hende. Visiting this family-run winery nestled on a sun-kissed hill in Sicily was nothing short of magical. Our tour guides Allesandro and Aurora were amazing. They had refreshments ready for us when the tour started. They provided a comfortable vehicle for touring. Aurora was very friendly and helpful through the tour. She pointed out all the important places to see and we saw quite a bit with the limited time available.
Alessandro and Aurora were exceptional! We asked for special arrangements and exception for starting our tour later than scheduled so they could accommodate us so we could attend Sunday Mass before going into Taormina. They greeted us after and took us to a cafe for a snack and refreshment before beginning our tour. They were both very knowledgeable drinking and taking us around everywhere . Aurora recommended shops for us and a place for a light lunch which was excellent! She was so knowledgeable about the area and history of Sicily and Italy in general. Both very friendly and went out of their way to make our experience so enjoyable. Would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Messina and Sicily!!

The drive, Allesandro was excellent, took us to memorable spots gave us time to explore, cannoli was best i ever had! The theme bar was quite an unusual experience, but the drive was best, green, lush countryside.

Bahar was energetic and positive. We all liked her. However she needed to really learn to guide. Stop to face the entire group and talk so we all hear. Focus more on details and history of the monuments and buildings. We had no mention of the big Roman Theatre. She give us a fantastic recommendation for lunch. We enjoyed the day.
