Oplev Maya Face Mountain (internationalt kendt som Indian's Nose), berømt for at være vært for en af de mest sublime udsigter og fotografier ikke kun i Guatemala, men i hele Latinamerika. Fra toppen vil du opleve et uforligneligt panorama: Atitlán-søens majestætiske bassin, beskyttet af dens tre vulkanske vogtere: San Pedro-vulkanen, Atitlán-vulkanen og Tolimán-vulkanen. På klare dage strækker skuet sig endnu længere, så du kan se den imponerende Fuego-vulkan, Acatenango-vulkanen og Agua-vulkanen, der ligger nær Antigua Guatemala, i det fjerne. Vores tur fortsætter til San Juan, der officielt er udpeget som "Pueblo Mágico" takket være sin unikke skønhed og levende kultur. Denne turistby er berømt for sine farverige gader og kunstneriske vægmalerier og tilbyder alle tjenester: overnatning, restauranter, caféer, barer og rejsebureauer. Klatringen til toppen: en spektakulær belønning. Vores bus tager os til den maleriske og unikke by Santa Clara, en skjult skat ved foden af den imponerende klippeformation kendt som "Mayaernes Hoved" eller, for turister, "Indianernes Næse". Fra dette punkt begynder vi den mest udfordrende og givende del af vores eventyr: en 45-minutters vandretur op ad bakke. Selvom afstanden er kort, er terrænet vurderet som vanskeligt, så god fysisk form er påkrævet. Indsatsen vil være det værd, når du når toppen, der ligger 2.260 meter over havets overflade. Fra dette naturlige synspunkt vil du blive belønnet med en af de smukkeste og mest panoramiske udsigter, man kan forestille sig – et perfekt øjeblik til at tage uforglemmelige billeder og få kontakt med naturen i dens reneste form.
Efter en 35-minutters bustur og en krævende, men givende 45-minutters vandretur, når vi målet for vores eventyr: bjergets højeste top, kendt som "Næsen". Her, på regionens tag, vil vi opleve et uforligneligt naturskue: solopgangens magi. Vi ser solen langsomt stå op over horisonten og male himlen i nuancer af guld og orange, der spejler sig i vandet i den majestætiske Atitlán-sø. Vi vil nyde dette paradis i 70 minutter, en tid vi vil benytte til at: Lær om de maleriske landsbyer omkring søen. Oplev den fascinerende historie og myterne omkring denne hellige sø. Identificér de imponerende vulkaner i Atitlán, og på en klar dag kan du endda se vulkanerne, der beskytter Antigua Guatemala i det fjerne. Absolutely horrible. I was with my kids and we were joined by 3 other members. While on the beginning I fell down the side of the mountain and sprained my ankle. One of the other female members began making fun of me and my daughter heard her. Then the owner of the tour denied my refund stating I was already injured and took the risk meanwhile I was not injured. So now I paid $129 to be injured not complete the tour and me made fun of. If I could I would rate this 0 stars
Hello! We are very sorry about what happened, but one of your children mentioned to our guide and other travelers that you were already injured even before attempting the hike. It is unfortunate that you tried to place the blame entirely on us, given that we had arranged exclusive private transportation for you and your children; our bus took your family to the San Juan dock just 15 minutes after the hike began, because you decided not to continue—claiming, in order to justify your decision, that you had been injured after walking for only 10 minutes. We incur costs for guides and transportation regardless of the outcome, which is why we were unable to issue a refund; furthermore, in all the years we have been running this hike, no one has ever been injured—certainly not within the first 10 minutes. We are very sorry and hope you recover soon; we will take your feedback into account to improve our tours.
The tour was well organized and we were able to book the private boat from Santa Cruz which made an early morning more seamless - one of our favorite activities from our visit to Lake Atitlan!

This tour was amazing! After a challenging but worth it hike, we were rewarded with cacao and one of the most incredible views our eyes have had the pleasure of seeing! Our guide Jeffery was knowledgeable, encouraging, kind, and patient. Fantastic experience and highly recommend!

Loved the experience from start to finish. It was great to have a guide organize the transport to the hike spot and then accompany us. It would be impossible to do on our own. The best part was the hot chocolate at the top with the sunrise!

They came to pick us up right in front of our Airbnb . The hike was hard for me but the guide had a lot of patience. The view was beautiful.

I booked this trip with my son while visiting Guatemala. We were picked up on time and transported to the starting point of the hike, which all went smoothly. However, once the hike began, the pace was extremely fast. The conditions were challenging — very humid, hot, and with thinner air at altitude. The group was made up of people in their early 20s, apart from me. While I’m a fit, active and well-travelled 60-year-old, it wasn’t realistic to think I could keep up with the pace being set. I was only falling behind by a few minutes, yet the group moved on ahead both on the ascent and the descent, which made the experience feel stressful rather than enjoyable. At one point the guide asked if I was “ok” in a way that felt more alarmed than supportive, as though he thought I was about to collapse, rather than recognising that someone 40 years older than the rest of the group may naturally need slightly more time. The scenery and overall concept of the trip were excellent, but the experience felt rushed, pressurised and uncomfortable. I would strongly recommend this tour only to younger travellers or very fast hikers, unless the company is willing to adapt the pace more appropriately for mixed-age groups.

Great experience!! The driver picked us up on the doorstep of our hotel at 3:50am. After picking up other travelers along the way we parked at the bottom of the climb and started our trek in the dark (make sure to bring a headlamp or a flashlight as this tour didn't provide any!). It was about a 45min climb up a well maintained path. It gets steep at parts but nothing too bad overall. The guide didn't talk a whole lot but he was kind and did his best to answer specific questions. The view at the top was breathtaking. Enjoy the included coffee and hot chocolate and watch the sun rise above the horizon and light up the lake, hills, and towns below.

Nice early start to get there before the crowds, steep ascent to the top, but Jeffrey our guide asked us regularly if we wanted to rest. When we got to the top we were offered Coffee and bread, which was welcomed by us all. Then the main act to watch a beautiful sunrise over Lake Atitilan - unbelievable views and loads of snaps to be had. A fantastic experience for us alll!!! Oh and we saw two volcanoes erupting with small plumes of smoke!!!!

Our guide was communicative and went at our pace. We needed to take many breaks but he was helpful and had no issues with it! The company itself was difficult to reach to confirm pickup location and time but after contacting Viator support they reached out immediately. Overall it was good and I’d book again.
