Ridetur i San Pedro La Laguna

What a beautiful experience!!!! The horseback tour has been something magical. The thrill of riding through the streets of San Pedro on horseback is something I will not forget! The guide was very attentive the whole time and always kept an eye on the whole group. The horses are well-cared for and calm. During the ride we got off a couple of times so that they wouldn't get too tired. It was clear that the guide José loves his horses very much. So highly recommended!!!!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our horseback riding experience very much. The guide was patient and kind, and our horses were wonderfully behaved and treated lovingly by the staff. It always fun seeing each horses personality! We felt comfortable and enjoyed riding through the cobblestone town roads as well as the beautiful views of Lake Atitlan along the way. Thank you!

Beautiful horses! I’ve been riding horses for years, but, as Jose explained, these horses are a mix of Spanish and Peruvian and bred to move fast. They are very smooth. They have that special prance that is way smoother than a trot. My mare was named Mariposa. And she is the best horse I’ve ever ridden. None of the Horses in our group ever did that slow lazy walk. I was surprised at how spirited and fun they were.

This was a great experience. Our guide got us a tuc tuc from the park to the horses and he was on time and ready to go. You walk through town for a little bit and then you head up to a trail to an amazing view of the lake. On the way back you walk along the beach and it is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this.

It was fun!!! The horses know where they’re going, and sometimes they’ll gallop ahead of the group. But it’s not really concerning. Definitely beginner friendly. Wear boots preferably or at least sneakers/something closed toed. The guides are friendly and helpful, but do give direct instructions throughout the ride. It’s a ride through the city with other people and cars on the path, so they have to ensure the safety of the animals and riders. I would definitely do it again.

Nice your in the street. Coordination to find the departure could be better… we walked upstairs to the announced parqueo hermosa vista but nobody there and even « worst » they told us that a tuktuk was waiting on us at the port… we came with a small boat (easiest way to travel at Lago Atitlán). All rest was great… horses are doing this way every days but they are in good shape. On the way back to the ranch, they accelerated the allure but nothing to be afraid of… Great tour of 2 hours for small money.

This was the most wonderful activity during our stay at Lake Atitlan. We had an incredible scenic ride through the village streets, volcanic farms and lakeside hills. We were galloping on the streets and catching our breath at the beauty of the vantage points our guide took us to. The horses were so well-loved and our guide chiko and the horse caretaker Jose were the most wonderful, warm people you could ask for. An unforgettable experience through different terrains and definitely worth the price.

Amazing experience! Only my 2nd time riding a horse, partner’s 5th and they were perfect. Knew the drill, followed our guide, and we were able to have great conversation/views and were even galloping by the end. Only thing that may confuse people is you meet a tuk tuk driver that takes you to the ranch for free, and that’s where the excursion starts. Can easily call the phone number if you can’t locate them near the central park meeting spot.
