'Stonehenge & Secret England' fra Bath for 2-8 nysgerrige eventyrere

This was a surprisingly delightful foray into the English countryside and to Stonehenge, led by our tour guide, Ralph Oxborrow, head of partnerships. There were two couples on the trip who we hit it off with, so a bonus. Highly recommend this trip, which was fun, relaxing, and informative. We had lunch at The Bath Arms at Longleat, which was charming (you pay for your own lunch, and it's good food).

Jules could not have been more accommodating in creating a custom tour for us. Knowing we had limited time in and around Bath, he organized a wonderful tour with Max our first day and took us himself the next day back to London via Lacock Abbey and Avebury, a sister site to Stonehenge, which we had requested. He is extremely knowledgeable (having taught history), and enjoys equally if not more so connecting with his guests. Not only did he share the history of each site, but also what he finds most fascinating. We learned a lot, we felt we'd made a new friend! Even though our time frame was tight, we never felt rushed. We had a super day with Jules!

We have just returned from a full day touring with Simon. What a wonderful experience! Simon is very informative with facts about Stonehenge and, as a local, is very knowledgeable in matters pertaining to the surrounding areas of Bath. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the windy backroads into quaint villages, places we would never have found on our own … ancient churches and a great pub for lunch. We are very satisfied customers! Highly recommend.

Our group of 6 had a private tour of Stonehenge and several nearby historic villages with Max. This was a wonderful way to see the countryside, see Stonehenge and pop into a few local pubs for luck and refreshments. We appreciated that this was off the beaten path and not touristy. Max was great and we highly recommend.

From the time of my first email communications with Simon from In and Beyond Bath, I knew I chosen the right tour guides for our time in Bath. Unfortunately, our group of 4 travelers had a short time to spend in Bath and Simon was diligent in providing us a special, curated tour involving (thankfully) being picked up from the Bath train station (we had come from London) and then directly embarking on our journey to Stonehenge. We all knew immediately that Simon is a wealth of knowledge and we began learning much more about the details & history, which made the tour much more enjoyable! Simon knew how much I wanted to see The Cotswold's, but didn't have time - so, after touring Stonehenge we spent the afternoon making stops in quaint quintessential English villages within Somerset & Wiltshire counties. We stopped at a wonderful pub for lunch and continued our afternoon taking in the lovely English countryside before being dropped off at our Bath hotel in the early evening. Simon then joined us again the next morning for a half day walking tour of Bath City. Again, his knowledge of the history, arts & architecture was most appreciated! We ended our time with him transporting us from our hotel to the Bristol airport. We were sad to end our time with Simon but grateful for all we had seen and learned. Travelers to Bath (& beyond) owe it to themselves to contact Simon & In and Beyond Bath. You'll be very glad you did! We look forward to returning and will contact him again.

Stonehenge was better than we expected. Safely guided to Stonehenge with all the pointers and information. Simon was even telling latest discoveries and findings. Gave us private time there for taking it all in. Lunch was lovely and then fun afternoon of hidden treasures. Great day with Simon!

We hired Simon to give us a private 2 day tour of Bath, Stonehenge and the surrounding area. He was excellent; helpful, knowledgeable, organized and with the sweetest disposition. He picked us up at the Bath train station and took us straight to Stonehenge. From there we did a half day walking tour of Bath. The next day he took us to Lacock to show our kids all the Harry Potter filming locations, not to be missed if you’re a HP fan! Then he drove us through a few quaint villages on our journey to Highclere Castle to live out our Downton Abbey fantasy. He even found a way to surprise us with a stop at Avebury on the way! We had the best time with Simon and learned a lot, but he also taught us there is so much more to see! We’ll be back again one day and will definitely be sure to hook up with Simon again.

Simon spent two days with us: a day trip to Stonehenge, and a private tour of the Cotswolds. Both activities were excellent. Simon is extremely knowledgeable, and his discussions of the area and its history very engaging. I would definitely recommend In & Beyond Bath tours and guides.

Simon was absolutely the quintessential guide! We explored the countryside of Bath, England during a beautiful sun filled (with a few droplets of rain) Fall day. As storyteller and guide, Simon provided the exploration of a lifetime and the off the beaten path to several less known yet important locales less visited by hordes of visitors, besides our trip to Stonehenge. Which, was spectacular as we were given quick access amongst the thousands gathered there. It was a fantastic day! Highly recommend Simon; a retired Film Producer and historian.

My husband and I went on the Stonehenge & Secret England tour. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Simon was knowledgeable and personable. I appreciated hearing all the history on Stonehenge, but then also getting to hear about Lord Bath, the local area, as well as visiting some English villages. Enjoyed learning about Mells and the Horner family, and had tea in a pretty garden. Simon took us to interesting sites that we would not have found on our own, and we enjoyed our conversations. Highly recommend!
