You have to go!!
This is a must do on a trip to Boston. Make sure you give yourself enough time because you could probably spend hours in Salem. We went there on the 1145 and back on the four and I suggest staying longer. Snacks and booze to purchase on the ferry was fantastic also!

Young family friendly excursion
Goof for ages 6 and above. Four year old found the strong winds overwhelming. Excellent service and fortunately great weather. Could see this being difficult for young families with inclement weather. Good way to explore Boston for a day trip from Salem.

Great option to travel from Boston to Salem. Very scenic and tour guide was very knowledgeable Would do it again!

Amazing crowd on this liner.
Absolutely lovely crowd from the ticket seller in Salem who was charming AF, to the ticket taker, the bar tender and the staff. Great experience.

Took the ferry back to...
Took the ferry back to Boston from Salem after a long day of walking tours! It was the perfect way to end the day. It was a little cloudy and windy but option to sit in or out was perfect. One of the captains on board came around to visit and answer any questions we had which was nice. Would definitely recommend!

great way to get to Salem!
Fun way to see the harbor and get to Salem. Finding where to board wasn't super clear but there is a building nearby with signage, where you can go inside to ask. Arrive earlier than the suggested time if you are picky about where you sit, but there are various options available. Bar with snacks and drinks available for purchase, but we didn't partake. Can bring water bottles on, but not open drinks from nearby establishments, so finish those before boarding.

Beautiful ride to a Spoony Town!
The Salem Ferry was very punctual, and the ride was incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The beautiful scenery along the way made the trip even better! I would definitely recommend the Salem Ferry to anyone looking for a convenient and relaxing way to get to Salem while taking in some gorgeous views. A great experience!
