På South Coast og Glacier Lagoon Tour vil du tilbringe dagen med at opleve den forfriskende mangfoldighed af det islandske landskab. Fra udsigt over Vatnajokull-gletsjeren, Skogafoss og Seljalandsfoss-vandfaldene til de glitrende isglodser, der findes på Diamond Beach ved Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. På vej til gletsjeren lagune, vil du passere gennem den sydlige kyst af Island, et land af storslåede vandfald, slående sorte sand, massive gletsjere og vulkaner krydset med gårde. Du vil have uforglemmelig udsigt over Skaftafell vildmark område i Vatnajokull National Park og køre gennem den starkly smukke sorte sandstrækning af Skeidararsandur. Lige før du når lagunen har du også udsigt over Islands største aktive vulkan, Oraefajokull.

Islands mest berygtede vulkan er utvivlsomt Eyjafjallajökull, som sidste gang udbrud i 2010 og forårsagede flyforstyrrelser i Europa i flere uger.
På vej tilbage fra at besøge glacier lagunen, stopper du ved et af de mere unikke vandfald i Island, Seljalandsfoss. Hvad der gør dette vandfald så specielt, er vandstien bag vandfaldet, som, når vejret tillader det, giver mulighed for et helt nyt perspektiv.
Før du når Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, stopper du ved Skogafoss, et fantastisk vandfald, der giver dig adgang til flotte udsigter fra både under og over, via en trappe.
Toilet og middagspause (for egen regning)
Vatnajokull-gletsjeren er massiv og dækker 14.000 kvadratkilometer, og det er Breidamerkurjokull, en af de mange dele af denne store gletsjer, der skaber den magiske Jokulsarlon-gletsjerlagune. Derfra er en let gåtur ned til Diamantstranden, hvor du kan se isbjerge, der er skyllet op på den sorte sandstrand, og glitrer i solen som juveler.
Under det planlagte stop til Jökulsárlón anbefaler vi, at du tjekker Diamantstranden, der kun er et par minutters gang væk, for at se fantastiske isbjerge spredt på den sorte sandstrand.
Du vil få uforglemmelig udsigt over Skaftafell vildmarksområde i Vatnajokull National Park.
Kør gennem Skeidararsandurs stærkt smukke sorte sandkant.
Her er det muligt at købe frokost, shoppe til souvenirs eller tage en kort gåtur i landsbyen eller ned til stranden.

The Glacier Lagoon is stunning. On the way there and back we visited a couple of stunning waterfalls. Our guide Lasma was so knowledgeable. It is a long day but you see so much of Icelands stunning countryside.

Long but fantastic tour! Wonderful scenery! Mikki was great! He made sure we had frequent restroom stops. The tour departed on time and the first pickup was smooth!

I had taken this tour three days prior, it was absolutely amazing! When I received the email confirmation, it explained for a 730 excursion. Waiting for the tour bus from 719 until 815 I called. They explained to me the excursion started at 7:30, but they stopped by to pick me up at 7 AM. I have been downstairs having breakfast and missed the bus! Truly a disappointment!! The main goal for this trip was to see the diamond Beach, that was the main part of this excursion. Thankfully, I had taken a previous excursion to win the diamond beach, but the weather was a little crappy. This day, the weather was beautiful, and I’m sure they had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, I missed out! I’m not pointing fingers, but I wish it would’ve been clearer on the email they sent to be in the lobby at seven and not 730. If you booked this trip, make sure you know what time they’re going to pick you up.

Be aware of tour start time. My ticket from Viator stated tour starts at 8:00 am and be at pickup location at 7:30 am. We arrived at 7:25 am and waited for 50 minutes with several other tour buses coming and going. I called the actual tour company to inquire about our tour only to find out that it actually started at 7:30 am and we should have been at the pickup location at 7:00 am. The bus left without us. I sent requested screenshots of the Viator ticket to the tour company so they can address it with Viator. I requested a refund from Viator explaining what happened. Viator did refund the entire amount within a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the tour itself. This was our last day and we were unable to book for another day. This was NO fault of the tour company.

We had two of the most experienced and wonderful people to take care of us. Chris our guide was great, keeping us informed and making sure we were doing great! Robert , our driver took us safely for 14 hours through some of the most challenging wind storms I’ve ever been through!! Bravo!! Great tour

It is a thankful tour by the Chief who has gone over 800km. This tour takes at least eight hours away, so if you have a dry photo during the bus ride, it should be taken immediately. It's a great view because it doesn't stop. This part is so bad. It's unfortunate to understand a hundred times because of the tour time. Toilets and meals, rather often stop for shopping. Don't even ignore the money you need to spend at least to sit in the restaurant. The tour guide (Gunnar) is very knowledgeable and explains a lot on the bus, so the journey will be boring because it's long on the bus, but sometimes it seems boring for others. In other comments I saw a lot that we were going to see Aurora for the last time, but we didn't hear about Aurora, and there was no stop on the way home. As a result felt like a journey to the Diamond Beach. Of course, the nature of Iceland is indescribably beautiful. But it feels like it's just the price of oil and the cost of driving. If I had a glacier hiking tour I would also like to.

Overall incredible experience which was coordinated well and delivered on both the lagoon and diamond beach, providing an unforgettable experience.
The tour is amazing and we really have the great day. The tour guide is knowledgeable and I will definitely join again .
Our guide was excellent and the itinerary great. It's a long day however well worth the adventure! The only thing that would have made it perfect was a pause in the rain :) Thanks for the great care, experience, and memories!
