First of all, Michaela, our guide, did not take us to the part of the park that is described in the description of the hike. We did not enter the park and walk to a water fall. We went directly to the entry point for pipeline road. If that is the hike I wanted, I would have signed up for the cheaper hike. Second, we went to the entry point of pipe line road and walked about 4 km. He seemed more interested in finding birds and wild life for himself than explaining anything to us. I observed other guides stopping and talking with their groups about the flora and fauna of the area. He did not do that with us. He seemed disinterested in engaging my husband and I . We were the only ones in the group. Third, instead of a box lunch/snacks as advertised, on the way back to the hotel, he stopped at a tacky tourist place that was filled with cheap stuff to buy and had a small grill in the back of the store. We are vegetarians and so all that could be offered to us was a tomato sandwich-just awful. For the price of this tour, we expected much more. Fourth, but minor, he showed up at our hotel an hour before we were to be picked up. We got a call from the front desk. We told the front desk that we would be down in a half hour. Michaela could not explain why he was an hour early. I think he did not know the trip he was supposed to take us on.
Did three stops to look for birds. Was very hot later in the day, so less birds.. Unfortunately no toucans..
bad and little information available, bad tourist support, unfortunately zero fauna already at 10 am
Our guide , Wilbur, took us to the wrong place at first and didn't know the Tour included lunch. We have not been offered compensation. Otherwise, he was a nice guy and knowledgeable.
Nice trek in the jungle with birds and a lot of jungle sounds. Panama has mow in common with Costa Rica than I expected. We went there by car and was registered by police person and had a wonderful 8 k walk.

While we had a fantastic guide, and ultimately had a nice day in the jungle, our experience with Viator left a lot to be desired. We booked the Best Sobarania National Park Day Trip for 180 per person. The website description is very vague and in hindsight, we should have gotten more information prior to booking. I'm honestly not sure why this tour costs 180 when their Soberania, Monkey Island and Indian Village is only 135. Except perhaps that this was a private hiking tour? We were not really prepared for 4 hours of jungle hiking, as the description doesn't mention this, nor did the confirmation suggest we dress for it. The website says the tour starts at 8am, and again, the confirmation mentioned nothing to the contrary, so we were very confused when the guide called us from our hotel lobby at 6:30. Sleepily, we asked him to come back at 8:00 which is when we thought the tour started. Little did we know, this meant we would arrive in the jungle as the heat was building and the animals were heading to siesta. So, the expectations and communication from Viator were extremely disappointing in this respect.

That said, our guide, Jorge was fantastic, as was the driver Vladimir. Both spoke excellent English and had great knowledge of the area as we drove out to the park. After a quick stop for a gas station sandwich included in our 180 tour price! we set off on our hike along the pipeline road. This is a car road, but we walked along, and the hike was out and back meaning whenever we reached our halfway point in time, we would just turn around and head back to our waiting car and driver. Jorge had great knowledge of the flowers, trees, bugs and birds that we saw along the way. He came armed with several wildlife identification guides as well. We did see lots of birds, butterflies, sloths and capuchin monkeys!

So, the tour was good, but they could do a better job in the description as well as the booking confirmation.

The tour guide is fine, but the tour is just totally underwhelming. Not at all worth the money. Do not recommend to anyone.
