Først op er et besøg til et meget naturskønt vandfald kaldet Glanni i roen i Bifrost-området.
Nyd seværdighederne ved Deildartunguhver, den varme kilde med højest strømning i Europa, der giver 180 liter pr. sekund af 100@C varmt vand! Træd stien forsigtigt, mens du ser og hører den varme kildes kraftfulde energi i arbejde.
Nyd et uforglemmeligt besøg på den islandske hestegård Sturlureykir. Du kan komme så tæt som du vil på disse smukke venlige dyr og derefter nyde nogle hjemmelavet "varmt forårsbred" kaldet rugbraud på islandsk med en dejlig kop kaffe eller iskoldt vand.
Dernæst stopper du ved Reykholt historiske sted. Der kan du lære lidt om Islands historie og se Snorralaug – lille varm kilde brugt af lokalbefolkningen siden 1100-tallet. Dette sted blev først nævnt i middelalderlige skrifter af Snorri Sturluson - den berømte islandske digter og politiker, der plejede at bade der.
Du vil se den store Hraunfossar, en række vandfald spredt på en afstand på omkring 900 m. Vandene løber ud af Hallmundarhraun, et lavafelt, der blev dannet for omkring 1000 år siden under en massiv udbrud af vulkanen, der ligger under en Langjökull-gletscher. Hraunfossar kaldes ofte "Lava Vandfald". Rivulets streaming fra lavafeltet skaber en af de mest betagende udsigt i Island.
Bare få meter væk fra Hraunfossar finder du et andet interessant vandfald - Barnafoss. Dens navn, "børnens vandfald" kommer fra en ulykkeshistorie, der siges at have fundet sted her i et forrige århundrede. Der var en naturstenbro over vandfaldet, og to børn fra en nærliggende gård faldt til deres dødsfall over floden på broen. Derefter havde den sorgsramte mor broen ødelagt.
Højdepunktet af turen er et besøg på en farverig Vidgelmir Lava Cave. Bare genert af 1600 meter har hulen fantastiske farver og lavaformationer, der lurker i jordens dybder. I løbet af denne 1,5 timers lange ekspedition får du mulighed for at se en af de største lavahuler på Island med sine fantastiske lavastalaktitter og stalagmitter. Området omkring indgangen til hulen giver dig mulighed for at indse, hvor kraftige udbrud af vulkanen der kan være.

This was a great experience! The pickup was seamless, my tour guide was knowledgeable about the country and landscape. The highlights include: the gorgeous waterfalls and the Icelandic horses (not ponies!).

Wonderful tour with a variety of activities, nature, horses and lava cave! Filip was a great guy, and crafted a wonderful soundtrack of icelandic songs to complement the astonishing view and get a taste for the culture!

Such a brilliant tour to do. It’s our 4th holiday in Reykjavik and having done so many other tours opted for this one to try something new. We were not disappointed in any respect. The sun was shining and it was a great day. Bjarki was a great guide, made the day really relaxing, interesting and fun. Even managed to fit in an additional stop, a lovely piece of modern history, even though he wasn’t able to beat the Paddy Haynes stone lifting record!! The day was full of highlights, made extra special by us being the only visitors to most of the sights. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again on this tour with Nice travel.

This was a great tour. It was a good mix of sight-seeing and experiences, including the scenery while riding on the bus. The waterfalls were beautiful and we visited some points of interest, however, the highlights were visiting the horse farm and the lava cave tour - both a great deal of fun and a wonderful experience. It was nice to stop for lunch at some point in the day; and given the weather, we were grateful not to have to drive and just relax on the bus, especially after the long day. Would definitely recommend.

First of all, choosing to visit Iceland in winter is only done on the condition that you want to see it in a glacial aspect and that you are equipped for what it entails in terms of the temperatures to be faced, the clutter of luggage in tow, and the practicability of the roads, since for meteorological reasons, they are often closed even at short notice, for safety reasons. That said, and since the goal was to see in winter livery that land, I only indicate and recommend three of the waterfalls can be visited with satisfaction even in winter, when the flow of water is lower than the maximum of the thaw period perhaps, but the suggestiveness and colors compensate abundantly. In the photos there are Gulfoss, a stone's throw from the seat of the oldest European Parliament in Pingvellir, and near the place of counter of the continental plates North American and Eurasian, Skogafoss, very close to the black beach of Vik and that of Godafoss located much further north and accessible after crossing plateaus that in this season are authentic white deserts.
