Overall a great experience that I can recommend, however it is important for anyone booking this experience to keep in mind that it us not guaranteed to see or swim with dolphins. My partner and I saw only 3 dolphins from the boat, and they were swimming away too fast for us to be able to enter the water and swim with them. The coral reefs were beautiful however and more than made up for the lack of dolphins. When my partner and I both became ill on the boat due to motion sickness, the guides provided ample medication and other help to ease our discomfort. Overall, do recommend!

Very good snorkeling guide who kept us away from the groups and allowed us to be almost alone with the dolphins. The long trip (2 hours by bus and 2.5 hours by boat) was worth it for the few minutes with the dolphins. It is a shame that some zodiacs were herding the dolphins toward the tourists. It is highly recommended to be a very good swimmer to get the most out of it: the youngest and the oldest tire quickly and did not see as many dolphins as the best swimmers.

Heavenly place, swimming among dolphins and a very rich coral reef in the same place. The only downside is the 4 hours of sailing round trip, and you need a strong stomach because you are in the middle of the Red Sea among the waves. Motion sickness pills are mandatory.

Per quanto riguarda la navigazione, è vero che il tragitto richiede circa 2 ore per tratta e, poiché ci troviamo in mare aperto, le condizioni possono variare e il mare può essere mosso in alcune giornate. Per gli ospiti più sensibili consigliamo sempre di assumere un farmaco contro il mal di mare prima della partenza, così da godersi l'escursione nel massimo comfort. We booked the excursion to Sataya Reef for just under €190 for two people through TUI. Overall, it was a nice experience, although there are a few points one should know before booking. The boat trip to the reef is not for weak stomachs. The swell was very strong at times and several guests became seasick. The staff on board (over 10 crew members) was very friendly at first. Over the course of the day, however, one increasingly had the feeling that the excursion was supposed to be turned into a party boat. That was not quite to our taste. Swimming with the dolphins was, of course, a unique experience – we were lucky and were able to see them. However, one should be aware that sightings are not guaranteed and the encounters often last only a few seconds. Furthermore, after the encounters, we sometimes drifted for a long time in the open sea until the boat picked us up again. We found that a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately, snorkeling at the reef itself was rather stressful for us. Our guide constantly called the group together and kept urging us to swim faster. As a result, there was hardly any time to enjoy the underwater world in peace. We would like to highlight the photographer on board as a positive. He was very dedicated and took some truly impressive photos and videos. At the same time, however, this also created the impression that the focus was partly on producing the most spectacular shots possible for later sale. The lunch was okay, but for our taste, the boat was quite full with an estimated 30 guests. That is why we were divided into groups for various activities. Conclusion: Anyone who really wants the chance to swim with wild dolphins can have an unforgettable experience here – provided you are lucky. However, anyone looking for a relaxed snorkeling trip with plenty of time in the water might be rather disappointed by the organization and the pace.

It was a amazing experience, Beautiful colours of the sea and so many dolphins in it. Friendly crew, good food. But it was a long trip from the hotel to the boat, pick up early in the morning and the sea can be wild!

A great tour and it was amazing to see so many dolphins! A lot of freedom to swim responsibly and you don't need to wear a lifejacket which we appreciated.

We had a very full and enjoyable day! The trip to get there was long, but we had a great experience swimming/snorkeling with the dolphins! There were so many dolphins, swimming all around and among us, right up close! Our guide Sayeed was very helpful, and the boat and the lunch were good. The only negatives we experienced were (1) that after the fact, we were told we need to pay for the wetsuits we used - it would have been appropriate to tell that upfront so we could make an informed choice about whether we wanted them; and (2) the photographer on the trip (from an independent business) wanted us to pay for a photo package that would be sent to us later on WhatsApp, but when we asked our hotel and Sayeed both to call the number given to us for the photography company to check, it didn't exist. We luckily did not pay, but we were disappointed as we would have liked the pictures, but did not feel comfortable paying after that. Otherwise it was all great and overall we recommend it!
