Sarapiquí River Rafting Tour – klasse II–III i nærheden af Arenal

Such a fun and amazing experience. Very exhilarating! We saw Toucans and Sloths. Delicious fruit break and lunch. Great group of guides. Highly recommend!!!

The experience felt very safe throughout, Gorge was a great host who was very invested in making sure that we were having a good time and making great memories. He was a very experienced navigator of the rivers. We were initially concerned about whether or not it would be safe, but it ended up being very manageable and was a great experience all around. The fruit snacks in the middle of the trip were very welcome and the lunch afterwards was also quite delicious.

This was our first time white water rafting & the whole experience was great! Timely pick up from our hotel in a comfortable van with our guide, Esteban, and driver and a trainee, Derek. The ride to Rio Sarapiqui was about 1 hr 15 min. We met our River guide, Jorge, in town and he gave us a safety demo. He ensured we understood the calls and commands on land and then we practiced in the water. Wear swim wear and water shoes and leave everything else on the van. We had so much fun going down the river and learning go ride the rapids, jumped off a rock formation, stopped for fresh fruit, & we were shown wildlife along the way. The team was engaging & made sure we were having fun and felt safe. The experience on the river was about 2.5 hours. Afterwards you can change into dry clothes and off for a delicious Costa Rican lunch! The team took pictures with a nice camera along the way and you can purchase them at the end if you choose. They really work hard to make it a great experience all around!

We were a family of 4, kids (13 and 18). Our guide was amazing “Georgi” and the driver super safe and friendly. The adventure was great going through the River , been able to get in the water and do jumps- a highlight for my boys. Georgi was very funny, flexible and took the time to teach about the animals and typical flowers/trees during the day. The lunch was delicious- the fish was fresh and the maracuya jugo refreshing. 100% recommended and it was “Safety First” mantra! I never had experience doing rafting and Georgie made it fun and enjoyable!

Wow! Best activity of the vacation! Our guide, Francisco, was so much fun and really made the trip a great adventure. The rapids were awesome and getting to float down the river was a cool bonus.

July 3, 2025 We just did white water rafting with George (Momo) and Joel. George has over 20 years of experience and an excellent guide. Joel was our guide on this trip. He did an amazing job on the difficult rapids. My son and I were the only ones on the boat with Joel. While George had a family of 5 on his boat. We felt very safe, as our guides were experts on navigating us through the strong crazy rapids. George was very knowledgeable of the different species that we got to see along our boat ride. We saw howler monkeys, tucan birds, dangerous colorful frogs and many more other species. We got to do this all while in the downpours of the rain. (Rainy Season). Jumped off a cliff, stopped and ate delicious fruits in the middle of our tour and ended with a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. I highly recommend George and Joel with Canoa Adventure Tours. The driver (Adrian or Raspa) was also very experienced and got us there and back safely. I must mention the pictures Gerald took were amazing, too! If you travel to La Fortuna or Arenal and consider white water rafting, make your first choice with George and Joel with Canoa Adventure Tours.

We did the rafting with Diego and Canoa Aventura and had an amazing time. None of us had ever been rafting before and we felt so safe the whole time because of Diego. Great guide. The whole experience was great. Would definitely recommend. Booked all through our resort, they picked us up from the resort, took us to the Sarapiqui river, we did the rafting, got to eat amazing local fruit after and also got a great lunch at a local Soda. Great value for the whole experience.

We had a great experience on this tour. Our journey out to the river was an informal tour with lots of great information from Christopher. On the river our guide Gerald took excellent care of us through the rapids. The tour finished off with a great lunch. We would highly recommend this trip.

Steven was our guide and did an AMAZING job! He gave a us a wonderful experience for our whole family. We had ages 8-80 (grandkids and grandparents) on the boat with us and we all enjoyed it immensely. Steven guided all of us to be able to stay in the boat as best we could but also have a thrilling time. This was by far my favorite experience of the trip. (We ziplined, rappelled, and got jetskis as well). He pointed out tons of wildlife for us and the kids, told us a ton of facts about the rain forest and Costa Rica, and worked his little tail off to keep us on track because our rowing abilities were varied to say the least. LOL. Another family was in a separate boat that we would pass here and there and he was also very, very fun. They both had a way of engaging all of us so we we had fun even on the slow parts. I would 100% do this again and I highly recommend that you request Steven if you can. There was also a safety boat that followed us and took the most amazing pictures. Truly a great experience.
