It was a safe amazing experience for a solo female traveller who never tried San Pedro before. Everything was explained and guided through, not left alone for a single moment. And also it included a really kind host from Juan and his family for a night rest after and delicious breakfast.
A wonderful shamanic initiation with the blissful Juan! He is now a friend and shaman. Would recommend to anyone interested in the journey. Something must come from within to meet sacred Wachuma.
Juan was an amazing facilitator I felt I was in good hands The moment was intense for me, I had lots of consciousness and awaking Few months later, i still feel the fruits of the ceremony The place is nice I had an amazing breakfast when I woke up from the wife of Juan Thank you again
If I could give this experience a higher rating, I absolutely would. Carlos and his family welcomed me like I was one of their own from the very beginning. There was a deep sense of trust throughout the entire process, and that made all the difference. It’s honestly something that’s hard to put into words. I came into this solo, and I’m leaving feeling like I gained a whole new family here in Peru. If I had to describe it, I’d say it was truly magical and life-changing. An unforgettable experience from start to finish.
I had a very good experience. I went as a solo female traveler and felt very safe. The atmosphere for the ceremony was perfect - at night next the bonfire with warm blankets provided. Juan and his family were very nice and the breakfast the next morning was really tasty and healthy.
I had a great experience with Juan. The ceremony took place on the edge of a small town so it felt like we were deep in nature. Juan was a great guide during the ceremony, he obviously loves what he does, and I always felt safe and cared for.
One of the most incredible experiences of my Life. Juan became a brother. He and his family (wife and little girl) live in the middle of one of the wonderful moutains of the region, in contact with pure nature. I can only say Thanks very much to Juan and Family for the kindness and friendship they offered me and for the excellent breakfast served in the morning after the cerimony.
This was a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Juan's family were incredibly hospitable and we spent the night by the fire talking about life under the stars. It was a very powerful psychedelic and spiritual experience!
I’ve just experienced one of the most beautiful and powerful moments of my life in Peru. Before I arrived in this sacred land, I had a strong sense that something — though I couldn’t name it — was waiting for me. Instead of trying to control it, I chose to surrender and allow the journey to unfold. On my very first day in Cusco, I had the honor of meeting Maestro Básilio and the kind-hearted Juan during a shamanic energy cleansing ceremony at the Moon Temple. That ceremony was like a gentle reset — deeply refreshing and exactly what I needed to clear my energy before exploring such a sacred and ancient place. I stayed in touch with them afterward, feeling a quiet pull toward something deeper. Originally, I had planned to attend a three-day Ayahuasca ceremony. But unexpectedly — and now I know, divinely — things shifted, and I canceled. What I hadn’t realized at the time was that it wasn’t Grandmother Ayahuasca who was calling me — it was Grandfather San Pedro, also known as Huachuma. I reached out to Juan, who responded with so much kindness and warmth, helping me arrange a ceremony. That’s how I found myself in the Sacred Valley, welcomed into Juan’s peaceful home where he lives with his radiant wife, Melissa, and their sweet daughter, Zoa. From the moment I arrived, I felt deeply safe, embraced, and honored — as if I had found a family. The ceremony began around 6 PM and lasted until nearly 3 in the morning. We were under the stars, surrounded by nature, love, and gentle guidance. Being in the presence of my newfound soul companions made the experience even more powerful. There were moments of silence, of laughter, of tears — and a deep sense of being held by Pachamama herself. Now, as I return from this experience, I can feel that old traumas no longer have a hold on me. I have learned to trust, to be patient, and to listen to my inner compass — which now feels stronger and clearer than ever. I feel a deep calling to protect, honor, and give back to Pachamama, and my heart overflows with compassion for every living being. This ceremony wasn’t just a moment — it was a turning point. I’m stepping into the next chapter of my life with joy, strength, and a sense of sacred remembrance. Thank you, Juan, Maestro Básilio, Melissa, Zoa, Pachamama, and beloved Huachuma. You helped me remember who I am. With all my love, Asli
Juan provides a welcoming, relaxed space in a beautiful forest garden setting. The wachuma ceremony by the fire gave me the sense of embarking on a sacred journey. The wachuma medicine itself is gentle and uplifting but also deep and powerful. I also did the Temazcal ceremony which we started around midnight. This is similar to a sauna, but with fire-heated stones and still feeling the effects of the wachuma, it was very intense but very cleansing too. Afterwards there was a hot shower, comfortable overnight accommodation, and a hearty, healthy breakfast the next morning. All in all a wonderful and memorable experience!
