I had an amazing experience on the Sandwich Harbour Sunset Tour. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, from the stunning dunes meeting the ocean to the beautiful sunset views. The guide was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, making the trip both enjoyable and informative. The whole experience was well organized, relaxing, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Walvis Bay and looking for a unique Namibian adventure. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories!
Great driving, but missed the "sunset" in Sunset Tour To start with the general context: most tours here are priced similarly, though some include snacks or pickups. In my opinion, these feel a bit like a tourist trap; if you have a rental car, you can easily see 60% of the sites yourself. For instance, the "Pink Lake" is just a man-made salt pan—don't expect too much. However, you will likely pay 2,500–3,000 per person for the ocean and dune drive, as you need the expertise and rental insurance won't cover those areas. Specifics of this tour: On the positive side, our guide was punctual, the car was clean/fit for purpose, and the dune driving itself was excellent. The major disappointment was the "Sunset" aspect. We booked specifically because the company messaged us saying, "the idea is staying there till sunset, which is an unforgettable experience." Unfortunately, the guide returned us to the hotel way ahead of schedule, and we ended up watching the sunset from our room. We didn't argue at the time because we were tired of holiday stressors, but it was a letdown. Also, being asked for dietary restrictions was a bit ironic considering we were only offered crisps and water. Final Verdict: Overpriced. If you’ve never driven on dunes, give it a go. If you have, you’ll likely feel this isn't worth the premium.

Regarding pricing, we completely understand that tours can sometimes feel expensive from a traveller’s perspective. However, there are many operational costs involved behind the scenes that make these excursions possible and safe. Fuel prices have increased significantly over time, and dune driving vehicles require constant maintenance due to the demanding terrain. In addition, guide fees, vehicle upkeep, park permits, and newly introduced government concession fees all contribute to operational expenses. It is also important to mention that operators are now required to hold passenger liability insurance in order to legally access the concession areas within the park. We are fully insured and compliant with these regulations, which ensures the safety and protection of our guests throughout the experience. With regard to refreshments and dietary requirements, we ask all guests in advance because some travellers have dietary restrictions, allergies, or vegetarian preferences, and we always try our best to accommodate where possible. We would also like to clarify that our tours are always operated with the promised light finger snacks, drinks, beverages, and champagne included. This has consistently been part of our service offering, and many of our previous guests have appreciated this aspect of the experience, as reflected in other reviews. The excursion really surpassed all our expectations. It was like a offroad trip mixed with beautiful views and we got to see some wildlife too 😍 the tour guide was experienced, and very knowledgeable about the area. We felt very comfortable with him. We will definitely let everyone know about how awesome this was! A once in a lifetime experience ticked off our bucket list🤗
