Sandwich Habour er det, hvor Namib Sand Dunes møder Atlanterhavet. Deltag i en halv dags udflugt til et af de mange højdepunkter i Namibia. På denne udflugt vil du opleve strandkørsel og spændende klitkørsel med fantastiske fotomuligheder. Masser af stop, hvor du kan opleve fauna og flora og nogle dyr.

En halvdags 4x4 eventyrudflugt med afgang fra Walvis Bay kl. 08.30 eller kl. 13.00 til Sandwich Harbour Area efter en kort pause ved Walvis Bay Lagoon for at se nogle flamingoer og saltværker, vil du fortsætte til Kuiseb-flodens delta, en tør flodleje, hvor den ulige springbok kan ses. Smukke klitter skal krydses for at komme til Sandwich Harbour. Hvis vejret og tidevandet tillader det, kører du lige til Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, et af det sydlige Afrikas rigeste og unikke vådområder. Hvis vores køretøjer ikke kan køre langs stranden for at komme til Sandwich Harbor på grund af tidevandet, vil du få en chance for at se laguneområdet fra et af vores mange smukke udkigssteder og vil have tid til at gå og udforske Sandwich Harbour-området . Der er givet masser af tid til fotografering. En let picnic frokost med nogle kolde drikkevarer i det betagende landskab kan forventes, før du vender tilbage gennem klitterne for noget mere eventyr.

We were collected at the end of the pier by Marius. A local who knew so much about the area and Namibia generally. We left town and headed into the dunes seeing Springbok, seals on the beach, flamingos (albeit at a distance) and Pelicans as well as other birds. Tracks in the sand made by Shovel nosed lizards and jackals - what a treat. Then a fabulous lunch with a glass of sparkling wine. Very civilised! Homewards with trips down amazingly steep dunes through the salt basins to our cruise ship. Highlight of our trip!
We would be picked up on time, driver Hans had exciting stories to tell. We would also be surprised with a fantastic picnic in the middle of the dunes. The tour was as described and very nice
Great tour with drive between dunes and sea and in the dunes to the Sandwich Habour lagoon. Marius (owner and guide) was great, punctual, informative and absolutely customer-oriented.
Beautiful landscape with dunes falling into the ocean. Very well organized excursion, expert guide. But the place has become very touristy with too many 4x4s roaming the dunes
A highly recommended tour. Our Guide who was called Marius has a lot of experience and drives great. We always feel maximum security. He explained a lot of things about the country, the dunes, the fauna... you can see that he is passionate about what he does and knows how to transmit it. He showed us the colors of sand, metals, dunes flowing into the sea... he drove for fun like a roller coaster. In the end he offered us a picnic that was very delicious, chocolates, beer... We had a great time and learned a lot. We will always thank you for the amazing afternoon you put us through.
Great tour and shout out to our awesome guide Gerhard! He was super friendly and made the tour that much more enjoyable. The tour was a mix of great views, animals, good picnic lunch, and of course the iconic views of the dunes and ocean. A must do in the area.
We had such a great time on this half-day tour of Sandwich Harbour and the sand dunes. The flamingos were amazing! Our guide, Gabby, was so friendly and knowledgeable. She definitely knew how to drive the dunes! The tour also included a snack, but it was more like a full lunch. So delicious! A perfect day in Walvis Bay!

Highly recommended. The tour guide is very professional and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun seeing the sand dunes, the beach, the flamingos and the wild animals.
Marius was very knowledgeable and informative. We had many questions about the culture and history of Namibia, and he was a great person to talk to. Although the weather was foggy, he made sure to show us great views from various viewpoints. We enjoyed a little picnic with sparkling wine that he had prepared for us. Sandwich Harbor, where the sand dunes meet the ocean, is a spectacular place that will remain as a very precious memory for us. Towards to the end, he drove up and down the dunes just for the fun of a rollercoaster ride, which was really, really FUN! He mentioned that he offers customized tours around Namibia (and neighboring countries) too, as many clients prefer to travel on their own without guides. However, his company takes care of route planning, accommodations, permits, and guides (where there is no public access without a licensed operator). We wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely country.
