Din dagsudflugt begynder lyst og tidligt, med hotel afhentning mellem 3: 00 og 3: 30 om morgenen i Cusco. Ved at tage afsted før solopgang, kommer du til Rainbow Mountain (Mt. Vinicunca) foran mængden og nyde det fantastiske landskab i fred - perfekt til fotos og en mere rolig oplevelse. Den første del af rejsen tager omkring 1 time og 30 minutter, mens vi kører til Cusipata, hvor dit højhøjdeeventyr begynder.
Vores første stop er i byen Cusipata, hvor du vil nyde en varm, traditionel andisk morgenmad for at give dig energi til dagen fremover. Denne 30-minutters pause er den perfekte mulighed for at slappe af, akklimatisere og nyde lokale smage, før eventyret fortsætter. Efter morgenmaden kører vi i ca. 1 time gennem naturskønne højlandslandskaber og landsbyen Pitumarca og ankommer til Hanchipata–Llama Chimpana, udgangspunktet for vandreturen til Rainbow Mountain.
Start på din vandretur ved foden af Ausangate-bjergkæden, der starter en 1-timers og 45-minutters stigning til toppen af Rainbow Mountain. Undervejs kan du se forskellige sydamerikanske kamelider, såsom lamaer og alpakker. Når du når den røde bakke, vil du blive mødt af en betagende udsigt over det livlige landskab.
Efter at have nået Rainbow Mountain (Mt. Vinicunca), har eventyrere mulighed for at fortsætte med en 1 timers vandretur til den betagende røde dal. Langt mindre overfyldt end Rainbow Mountain, denne skjulte perle tilbyder andreverdens røde og kobber landskaber, der ser ud som om de er blevet malet af naturen selv. Ingen bekymringer om højde? Efter afslutningen af vandreturen, nyde en naturskøn 1 time nedstigning tilbage til trailhead, hvor din chauffør vil vente. Derfra vender vi tilbage til distriktet Cusipata for at belønne jeres indsats med en velfortjent, en times buffet frokost. Smag på en række traditionelle andiske retter lavet med friske, lokale ingredienser. Efter frokost, begynder vi kørsel tilbage til Cusco, med en anslået ankomst omkring 15:30 - masser af tid til at slappe af og genopleve højdepunkterne i din Rainbow Mountain rejse. Afrejse vil være på Avenida El Sol, foran Qorikancha tempel, omkring 16:30

Beautiful views and the guides Doris and Kristien and driver were fantastic.
I had a fantastic experience on this tour! David and Felipe were excellent guides—friendly, knowledgeable, and always made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. They shared interesting information throughout the trip and created a fun atmosphere. Everything was well organized, the scenery was stunning, and the experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this tour!
The trip started badly. I was advised by the organiser that pickup would be at 3:30, and I have the email confirming this. However, I then received a call from Kristian saying pickup was actually between 3:00 and 3:30. This isn’t what was communicated to me — had it been, I would have been ready in time. The tour itself was enjoyable, but be aware that a certain level of fitness is needed. There’s a lot of walking and quite a bit of climbing up steep passageways. Rainbow Mountain is also over 5,000m above sea level, which makes breathing challenging. Rainbow Mountain itself is a very nice, serene place to visit. The restaurant for breakfast and lunch is very basic — worth knowing in advance. Kristian and Doris did a good job guiding the tour. I’d strongly advise the admin team running this tour to clearly communicate the precise pickup time to avoid confusion. I’m happy to share the screenshot confirming the 3:30 departure time I was originally given, if needed.
The journey up was one of the most beautiful & tiring experiences I've ever had. From beginning to end including Red Valley, everything was 100% worth it and has inspired me to do more hiking now! The group we went with made it even better and our guide was super friendly/helpful. The trip was timely & smooth.

Great trip. Early departure as stated and on time. Breakfast was great lots of fresh fruit and other options. Our lead guide Christian Ortiz was amazing. He kept to his timelines and helped those of us hiking up on track and a smoother route up the steeper face. We had an amazing view with few people and learned about the area from him at the top and on the way to the red valley. Trip home was long but as stated. Long nap :). Lastly we left some medicine on the bus and when I contacted Christian he went to get it at the car wash from the bus driver and met me to deliver it. Amazing ownership and customer service. Thanks again Christian!!!

The tour guides, travel van, food, instruction on the mountain, and communication were flawless. I cannot recommend this group enough! Leaving at 3:00 AM was worth it to beat the crowds too!

What can I say—this tour team was truly flawless. From communication to pickup, every part of the experience was smooth and perfectly coordinated. Our guide, Darwin, was exceptionally attentive and incredibly informative. There are people you meet who simply do their job, but Darwin was fully invested in making sure every person in the group had a fun, safe, and memorable experience. It was a cold and icy day, and my friend and I faced a few challenges along the way, but Darwin made sure we felt supported, seen, and heard throughout the journey. Reaching the top was an emotional moment, and the breathtaking view made every step worth it. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

We left Cusco at 3 am and it was worth it, because when we arrived at the mountain there were very few tourists and we could take photos and enjoy the space. We came down at 11 am and the mountain looked full of people. I recommend entering the red valley; it is spectacular.

The place is undoubtedly special; the town feels like a theme park with hundreds of similar souvenir stalls..... the prices of food and drink are beyond reason.... Expensive or very expensive... it is better not to discuss the infrastructure issues for reaching the village due to the unfortunate image it projects of a country populated by simple and humble people who do not deserve such a poor classification. Nevertheless, the citadel is a marvel not only for its architecture but also because its location gives it an air of mystery and admiration for the choice of such a magnificent place..... it is important to have a good guide. In our case, Franklin did a good job.... There were moments when I truly believed what he was telling us.... The story of the Inca is absolutely "romanticized" into an idyllic world where events unfolded with the nature of an empire managed honestly and.... So and so..... until the bad ones arrived and everything ended in two sighs. That said..... the experience was very pleasant. I would recommend the visit to anyone with a certain historical curiosity and a love for vast natural spaces.....
