Requiem til Salem Walking Ghost Tour

Unfortunately, we made a long trip to visit Salem and stressed to make the tour just in time, only to be severely disappointed... Our tour guide was very polite and friendly however overall, the experience was extremely poor. The story jumped around all over the place and they mentioned their personal life, we did loops around the same area (which felt like it was made up on the spot) rather than a route that felt planned and followed a story and it felt very chaotic. Our tour guide spoke forwards while walking ahead of the group which meant a lot of us couldn’t really hear what they were saying and there were no real theatrics or ‘spookiness’ to their stories. It was not engaging and we booked the ‘adult’ evening option as a chance to be a little spooked and entertained. I found myself engaging with other tours that we came up against as they were louder, far more entertaining and factual. I will not be recommending this to anyone and left extremely, extremely disappointed as it ruined my trip as it was my only chance to see Salem.

Definitely not worth the $70 I paid for the walking tour. Meeting area was on a narrow sidewalk and another tour guide got nasty with us (the group) to move, but we had no where to go. Our tour guide was friendly, but the stories were repetitive and things we had already heard in other attractions. I expected different vibes for this tour as it was meant to be an “adults only” but felt the exact opposite. Struggled to keep my attention for the hour & a half - wish I could get my money back.

The tour was fun and lively. I would have liked to have been given the reason why the haunted places were haunted. Even if it's a historically accurate ish guess.. also loved that she had an actual lantern. The previous guides lantern didn't work. Suggestion: With 40 in a group, and at the pace we were moving, we missed quite a lot the guides were saying. I would suggest a functioning head set used by every tour guide. Also, it would have been more of a fit for the area and history to encourage ( highly, like with a bonus or something) to encourage employers dress more to the tour specifics ( timeframe/ theme etc) A solar lit footpath for safety would be greatly appreciated, especially for disabled, elderly, pregnant women and those with sight or balance issues. You could even generate those tours earlier in the evening? Ok and this one- we took several tours. Most covered the exact same spots. Not one guide offered the same info. Most stories weren't even similar. * Please list your stops per tour so those with less time in Salem can take the best tour decision for use of time for their $.😉 Having the tour guides brush up only on real or close to true/ directly related facts pertaining to the tours and leaving additional propaganda or non factual information out that does not directly tie to the specific tour could shorten the tour and leave us with a better connection of the area. - tourists don't need to be given biased info, just the facts and let them decide the fates. This concept offers us something to discuss after and keeps the thrill going, making us want to check out other tours or etc that you offer ! Over all 4 out of 5; however I think with those few, small changes.. you'll all rock every tour you give and obtain repeat customers! One last thing- when booking one of your tours, automatically suggest to the buyer other tours, museums, etc, that is offered by your company, but specify a different route with different buildings, shops, areas etc. I would've bought two tours right off the bat with more upfront information. We had the best tour guide (I believe her name was Rowan). She provided an awesome tour and environment. I would highly recommend!

We did the September 3 rd tour with Shasta…. She is awesome! Her passion for the stories of the city really kept you clinging to her every word. I am a nerd and have been reading about Salem since I was 6 y/o and she had info I didn’t know and I learned a few things. She kept everyone engaged and just had fun with we group. I would book it again for sure and recommend anyone to have a tour with her. We are from Pittsburgh and are staying in the merchant, and that we found is the most haunted hotel.

This was a great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and was very welcoming. We saw a lot of other tours happening around us at the same time, and i definitely preferred the vibe of this tour over the others.

Gabrielle was amazing! So knowledgeable and fun. It was one of the best tours we’ve been on. I would highly recommend her and this tour!!

Our tour guide was John. He was excellent. He was very funny, honest, knowledgeable, informative and mixed history with the paranormal. It was a great tour with a lot of stops. Also, John wore ghost socks🧦👻

It was interesting. I am not into this stuff but went because of my granddaughter wanting to go. I found the history very informative
