Remote K'gari (Fraser Island) & Whale Experience

A wonderful trip overall — whales, water sports, and a crew that really made the days special, we bought the 2 day package and ended up been given a free 3rd day - that was an exceptional bonus to say the least. Carolena and her crew made the days even more special than it already was, running whale sightings and activities with real energy. Special mention to Thomas whose an absolute gentleman who knows exactly what people need and when. His commentary on what we were seeing throughout the day was excellent and added a lot to the experience. The captain was focused and safety-conscious which is a good thing to have on the water. The vessel could have been cleaner, with wet cushions on board. Not a great first impression, but the staff more than made up for it and dished out towels to sit on. The first day was full of activities as well as Whale watching which was a highlight, Snorkelling is a sandy bottom, so not much to see. Kayaking was excellent fun down through the mangroves, Tubing was fun for the young ones and climbing the sand dunes and exploring Fraser Island was just so serene. The second day of our whale watching package was not so dramatic with not so many whales but we did see some. However big kudos to the company they offered everyone on board a return ticket which highlighted what a great company they are and we are glad we chose them. Our second day was epic with breaches to start the day and breaches to end and everything else in between. Hervey Bay is one of the best places in the world to see whales as they stop to rest relax and play in the beautiful calm waters of the bay sheltered by Fraser Island. One more thing … only 3 boats are allowed to view a pod at a time, so there is zero crowding of boats which I was really grateful for. With Tasman Venture you are guaranteed to see whales which is a real bonus. A great 3 days, we highly recommend this company for your whale watching and exploring Fraser Island.

Wonderful tour with a very efficient and simpathetic crew. The team excels in punctuality, efficiency, and knowledge of the sites visited. We also had the opportunity to explore beautiful locations and spot several whales in different situations and at different times of the day.

Had such a great day! The crew were incredibly friendly and made the day so enjoyable. I learned a lot about the whales and got to see plenty of calves. Also managed to see stingrays, dolphins and turtles. The places you visit on K’gari are absolutely stunning — I’d do it all again.

We had a great time and would recommend to anyone. Better than just a whale watching tour, as we saw heaps of whales up very close to the boat and then got to explore some parts of Fraser that are difficult to get to and very special.

The day tour we booked was a direct hit. Early in the day we started by boat for whale watching, the first whales were not waiting. We were on one of Fraser Island’s most beautiful beaches, snorkeling in the sea, you could go canoeing, bathe in fresh water and we saw whales full. The day was accompanied by very good food and a very professional team. No questions remained, and during whale watching we were told a lot about the behavior of the animals. This tour is a must for any Australia holidaymaker......

This was an excellent tour combining excellent whale watching opportunities with a visit to Fraser Island (K'Gari) and some activities on and near the beach. The crew lead by Carolina, Angus, CJ and Mara were excellent. Knowledgeable and attentive to everyone's needs. Whilst the boat on arrival at the marina doesn't look as upmarket as some of the others and looks more like a dive boat, it turned out to be much more functional and offered great vantage points from all over the boat. Carolina told us at the beginning that we would be sitting in every part of the boat at some point during the day and she was right. Everyone moved freely around and you didnt have to worry about securing a good seat/vantage point which we had to on another trip the next day. From the very young to the very old and everyone in between, everyone was catered fort and well looked after. Highly recommend this fabulous day out

We had a wonderful day with Tasman Venture! We spent a month traveling through Queensland and this was our 5th and most favorite boat tour. Crew- The entire crew was great - friendly and genuinely cared about everyone having a good time. The main guide (I wish I could remember her name) provided commentary and clearly has a lot of experience with whales. We appreciated the information that she provided about the humpback whales - we learned a lot! Thank you to Taylor for watching our 6 year old while we went up the sand dune! Boat - We were on the Pure Dive boat which was spacious with plenty of room for everyone, with seats inside and outside and an outdoor deck in the front of the ship perfect for whale watching. The ride was smooth - no issue with seasickness. Food- The crew went out of their way to accommodate our vegan request. They made sure we had food for every snack and lunch. K'gari - Crystal clear water and beautiful white sand beach with no one on it. We kayaked in a creek and played on the beach, then went back on the boat for lunch and whale watching, then back to the island for the sand dune climb and creek swim. I wish we had more time on the beach but I wouldn't have given up the whale watching. If you do this tour outside of whale season then I think you get more time on the island. Whales - We spent a few hours whale watching, which was spread out in the morning, lunch time, and afternoon. We saw a lot of whales including moms and babies (which stayed close to the boat)! As the guide said, there are so many whales it's hard to decide which ones to focus on. Every time I looked around there was a fin, tail, breach, big splash or blow hole mist in eyesight. THE MOST MEMORABLE PART OF THIS TOUR WAS GETTING IN THE WATER UP CLOSE WITH TWO WHALES!!! There are no words to properly describe the amazing whale encounter! This is a must do tour!

The crew is fantastic, so much pleasure in the job and friendliness in dealing with the guests we have rarely experienced anywhere. Thank you and keep going! We saw a lot of whales at the end of August and were taken to places that are not as busy touristically. For us that was a reason to book this tour. Depending on the conditions, the crew offers what seems reasonable, with us there was no swimming with whales or even no tubing, as the waves were too high. Overall a great experience that we would definitely recommend.

I hired with you some excursions in Spanish. I valued many options and finally hired this one for the language. No one spoke Spanish, very disappointed
