Kirk was an outstanding guide on our day trip to an outstanding island. The tour was informative, engaging, and well paced. Be sure to bring swimwear and towels for a dip in Lake Mackenzie - there are changing areas at the parking lot. Those with an appetite may want to bring snacks, as the provided lunch is light (but fresh and tasty). If you choose pickup from River Heads Shopping Centre, extra mainland time on the van will be minimal. There are public toilets and a (surprisingly well-stocked) convenience store at the Shopping Centre; note that the cafe will be closed.

Knowledgeable guide. Small bus with no audio making g it difficult to hear the guide giving instructions. Resulted in guide being rude to some guests.

Very friendly driver. Very varied tour. Opportunity to swim in the creek and in the lake. Nice picnic spots

We booked a private rour with 3 adults for 1400 Ausi dollars which is not cheap but our guide Nathan was gold…such a nice, interesting, patience, friendly mate! Thanks Nathan for making it a very nice day, on top we could see a Dingo at the very last moment…
