Vores tur starter fra en af Irlands smukkeste by - Kenmare. Som privat tur kan vi tilpasse det. Vi kan besøge nogle steder ud af bidte spor som virkelig fantastiske Kerry Cliffs. Kerry Cliffs er op til 1K fødder over havets overflade, disse klipper er faktisk højere end Cliffs of Moher. Vi kan stoppe, når vi vil, også for mad i en eller anden restaurant, der serverer lokale mennesker mest. Privat tur er fantastisk oplevelse, det giver tid og fleksibilitet.

Charmerende, lille plet i Nationalpark midt i ægte regnskov omgivet af træer dækket af mos rundt omkring. Sted hvor keltiske druider afholdt mystiske ceremonier.
Fantastisk udsigt over bjergene og søerne i Killarney National Park. Mest yndlingssted for Hendes Majestæt Dronning Victoria, som besøgte Killarney i 1861.
Kenmare by (Ceann Mara-chef for havet) Tidligere Neidin-lille rede. 16., 17. århundrede by med pirater og smuglere. Charmerende by designet af Sir Oliver William Petty, som fik dette område som en del af betalingen for kortlægning af Irland. Han anlagde en moderne by i 1670. Nu besøges Kenmare by af mange mennesker, fordi det er skønhed.
18. århundrede landsbymuseum. Godt sted at få fokus på, hvordan vi levede i fortiden. Kerry Bog Village er et sted, der husker stor kartoffelsult i midten af det 19. århundrede. Traditionelle hytter med stråtækt, lugt af brændt hul tager besøgende med til det 19. århundrede.
Imponerende ruiner. Castle of Carberry og Mc'Carthy's Mór. Castle blev angrebet af kanoner affyret fra Oliver Cromwells styrker. Endelig revet ned i det tidlige 20. århundrede.
Ringfort, 6. århundrede? (ingen skriftlige optegnelser) Byg med sten uden mørtel. Kelter hævede disse strukturer for at beskytte egen stamme mod andre stammer og vilde dyr (ulve og bjørne).
En smule tur gennem vandet. Nogle gange med delfiner. Fra Knights town til Cahersiveen.
De højeste klipper i Kerry County, højere end Cliffs of Moher bare meget mindre kendt. Dette sted er en ægte skjult perle i det sydlige Kerry. Op til 1000 meter over havets overflade, en fantastisk udsigt. I godt vejr kan vi se Skellig Islands. Skellig Michael-øen med mystiske bikubehytter besat af munke fra det 5. århundrede og muligvis af keltiske druider før. Second Island kaldes lille Skellig. Helligdom for vilde fugle. Over 40K reder af vilde fugle, for det meste lundefugle og havsule.
Coomakista, spids af Iveragh-halvøen. Fantastisk udsigt over Kenmare Bay (Derrynane Bay) og Scariff og Deenish Islands, kaldet af lokale folk Tyren, koen og en kalv. Også Abbey Island med ruiner af Abbey og kirkegård. Der er kun adgang under lavvande. På den anden side vil vi se Ballinskellig Bay og Waterville by, hvor Charlie Chaplin plejede at tilbringe sin sommerferie.

Peter Stanley Tours (Peter, himself) provided a 5-star Ring of Kerry tour for we first-time visitors to Ireland. Advance communication was consistent & he arrived to pick us up in Kenmare as scheduled. We booked a Ring of Kerry tour With Peter Stanley Tours. We could not have been more pleased!!! Peter is so knowledgeable about all of the main sites around the Ring. He took us to all of the sites we wanted to see. I was suffering with a bout of sciatica, so he helped me in and out of the van with a little step stool. He so kind, and a wonderful Guide! Magnificent day touring the Ring of Kerry with Peter. We saw many interesting places that tour buses can’t go due to the narrow roads such as the Kerry Cliffs - and suggested sights we were unaware of such as Cahergal Fort. Peter was knowledgeable, flexible and charming. We were able to sit back and enjoy the day without worrying about navigating and driving. Highly recommend.

We took this tour on our first day in Ireland and it was terrific! Our driver, Peter, picked us up at our hotel, right on time and made us very comfortable in his van. We made all the "must do" stops, as well as, others of interest. Peter provided good, local knowledge of the Ring of Kerry and was also quite knowledgeable on the history of Ireland and the culture. He handled everything for us including tickets and a lunch spot. The best part of booking a driver vs a big tour bus, is being able to see the Kerry Cliffs. They were spectacular! Overall, it was a wonderful day that we will remember always. I highly recommend. Thank you, Peter!
