R ing af Beara tur gennem Healy Pass, Derreen Gardens, besøg Cable Car station til Dursey Island. Garnish Island (afhængigt af tilgængelighed på båd). Kør gennem alle de mest farverige landsbyer i Beara-halvøen langs kysten med en spektakulær udsigt over Atlanterhavet. Besøg til Uragh Stone Circle smukt placeret mellem to søer med udsigt til mystisk vandfald.

Ring of Beara er en løkkekørsel rundt om Beara-halvøen gennem de fleste farverige landsbyer. Ardgroom, Eyeries og Allihies, landsbyer som fra et eventyr. Castletownbere by er et fantastisk sted til frokost. Fiskerby med friskeste fisk og skaldyr, næsten direkte fra båden. Healy Pass midt på Beara halvøen er egentlig ikke ved Ringen, men må ikke springes over. Private turister kan nå dette spektakulære udsigtspunkt. Oveni kan vi forvente flere og flere smukke steder, der for det meste kun er tilgængelige for personbiler og varebiler.
Molly Gallivans hytte er det mest traditionelle og autentiske gamle irske sted. Som museum for irsk folklore. At besøge stedet er som at bevæge sig tilbage i tiden, hundrede år siden eller mere. Selv te serveres fra en rigtig pejs.
Smukt sted med en virkelig spektakulær udsigt over Kenmare-bugten og Bantry-bugten på den anden side af halvøen. Charmerende Glanmore sø nedenunder med nogle klippeøer og virkelig idylliske landbrugsområder.
Derreen Garden. Mystisk land med små Derrinies og masser af eksotiske planter, specielt kendt på grund af en variation og stor størrelse af rhododendron. Smuk gåtur ved de små hyggelige damme i form af regnskov.
Uragh Stone Circle er i enestående beliggenhed mellem to søer på helbredet med en spektakulær udsigt ved Gleninchaquin Waterfall. Dette imponerende monument med højeste sten på 10 fod over jorden og sandsynligvis 10 fod under jorden og centrale sten, som var et alter til at tørklæde ofre, måske også mennesker.
Kobberminedrift i Allihies går tilbage til 1812. I 1845 nåede minerne sit højdepunkt og beskæftigede omkring 1600 mennesker. Miner blev ramt af lokalområdet efter kartoffel hungersnøden. Minerne fungerede frem til 1962.

What a wonderful 2 days with our private tour guide Richard! We booked through Peter Stanley Tours and could not be happier with our experience. Richard was so kind and knowledgeable and he did not want us to miss a thing! The first day we toured the Ring of Beara and the second day we toured The Ring of Kerry. We learned many facts that we would not have known if we drove ourselves. He was a very safe driver and we felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. We loved all of his stories and became quick friends. He even took us to the Aran Sweater market because he knew I wanted to go :) I will be referring clients in the future, no question!

The trip is unique and off the beaten path. The towns are working towns full of charm. The people are friendly and accommodating. The views of the peninsula are awe inspiring. Our driver, Peter was knowledgeable, fun and he let us make it “our journey”. He let us take our time and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended.

The Ring of Beara can only be accessed by the boldest of drivers...or in our case, Piotr! The weather was just as wild and untamed as the landscape. Piotr allowed for a customized tour, so we focused on stone circles, a visit to Castletownbere, a cable car to Dursey Island and a meal stop at Allihies. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Piotr was an excellent guide and provided great insight into the history, flora, and fauna of Ireland. I would highly recommend this private tour with Piotr!

Uragh Stone Circle is one of the most mystical places I've come across. The photo does not do it justice Situated between two lakes, surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of volcanic mountains facing the sea on the Northern shore of the fabulous Beara Peninsula, it must have inspired Neolithic people with awe and reverence. I'm surprised it was not replaced by an early Christian church.
