Denne halvdagstur på omkring 3-4 timer giver dig et første indtryk af øens vigtigste seværdigheder. Turen er perfekt for dem, der kun opholder sig kort tid i Faial og ikke vil gå glip af noget. Turen fører dig langs den sydlige kyst fra Horta til vulkanen Capelinhos med et antal stop imellem. På vej tilbage tager vi en mindre vej højt over landsbyerne. Afhængigt af vejrforholdene vil du enten besøge Caldeira eller nogle udsigtspunkter over Horta.
Den emblematiske hvide vulkanske klippe i Morro de Castelo Branco, som de fleste besøgende måske har set den lige før landingen af deres flyvning.
Varadouro er en lille kystby, i gamle dage var det sommerferiestedet for de velhavende familier i Horta, som tilbragte deres sommerferie der. I dag er det et boligområde med nogle meget populære naturlige svømmebassiner.
Vulkanen Capelinhos beliggende på den vestlige spids af Faial er et levende vidne om aktiv vulkanisme på Azorerne. Det er resultatet af et udbrud, der varede fra september 1957 til oktober 1958, det var det seneste jordiske udbrud på Azorerne.
Caldeira do Cabeço Gordo er et af Faials vigtigste vartegn. Beliggende i centrum af øen er det med sin 2 kilometers diameter og 400 meters dybde sandsynligvis det mest imponerende krater på Azorerne.

We had a wonderful half day tour with Andreas! He was extremely informative and we learned a lot about the island and life on the island. It was a rainy foggy day and he tried to work the route based on the weather so we could get the best views during the tour. Would highly recommend!
I highly recommend this tour. Andreas was our tour guide. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable about Faial and the Azores. He picked my husband and I up at our hotel. He was right on time in a very comfortable vehicle. He always was quick to come around and open the doors for us. He took us to the most lovely and breathtaking sites, always explaining, in perfect English, the history of the location. Thank you, Andreas, for such an enjoyable and informative tour.

We did an excellent half day tour with Andreas. He's extremely knowledgeable about the island and a wonderful guide. He provided us with so much historical information, as well as information about life on the island. The island has a lot of variety. There were plenty of opportunities for photos and we never felt rushed. He also brought sandwiches, beer, and water, which we really appreciated! Highly recommended!

We were a family of 5 adults visiting the Azores for the first time. We booked a Full Day Private Tour of Faial and a Full day Private Tour of Pico with Visit Faial. Andreas was our guide. He picked us at our hotel promptly at the appointed time on both days. Andreas drove us around the island in his van, stopping to visit the places we had requested as well as the ones Andreas had suggested. On the second day he picked us up at our hotel again, drove us to the ferry and we all took the ferry to Pico for our second full day tour. He has a wealth of infortmation about the island which provided great background to what we were seeing. On both days we visited all the places we had requested and more as well. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with him on both days and he also had a basket with water and snacks for us in his van. The lunches were made by his wife and they were delicious. Andreas was fluent in English and he made our visit a very memorable one. He was dependable, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, polite, a good driver and an all round excellent tour guide! Recommend him 100%! He definitely went the extra mile.
