Turen begynder inde i Guy Fawkes Inn (på High Petergate, overfor Michael Le Belfreys kirke). Derfra vil du lære om de berømte konspiratorer og pistol pulver plot, i selve fødestedet for Guy Fawkes selv! Vi fortsætter derefter til York Minster gård, hvor du vil lære alt om Minsters rige historie. Vi vil også besøge flere andre berømte steder i York, herunder The Shambles, Museum Gardens og mange flere! Det vigtige at huske, når du booker, er, at ingen 2 ture er ens! Afhængigt af hvor meget tid du har og hvad dine interesser er, vil jeg gøre hver tur så personlig som jeg kan. Myself and my wife both chose to go on a walking tour of York Minster and the operator we chose was Dave Haw.. We could never have chosen a better tour guide!! His knowledge of York Minster times dates and names of people involved in making the history of York is absolutely incredible. During the tour he rolled off names and dates at a phenomenal speed. Which everyone on the tour found amazing. We are both from London so we are used to going on tour guides around historic London. This tour with Dave Haw was by far the best tour we’ve both ever been on. His humour and his constant ‘Lets have a Wander’ In his strong Yorkshire accent was hilarious and had all the guests in stitches!! We thought the tour would last an hour or so but we had to call time on it after 2 1/2 hours such is his enthusiasm for the history of York! This reminded us of seeing Ken Dodd live on stage. We thought the show was for 2 hours. It started at 7.30pm and finished at 12.30sm. Simply amazing!! Carry on with your enthusiasm Dave for the History of Beautiful York Minster. Because your customers love and truly appreciate what you do. Dave told us during the tour that he was computer illiterate. We’ll take it from me no computer could ever keep up with the knowledge Dave has inside his loaf of bread.(Head)😁 If Carlsburg had tour guides Dave Haw would be their number one man. If you’re touring York I strongly recommend choosing to do so with Dave Haw! From his lovely West Yorkshire Riding accent to his deep historical and culture knowledge, Dave had our multi-generational group (including teens) deeply interested in every part of his tour. He knows all the local gossip, modern and medieval and everything in between, and kindly stayed with us far beyond our booked time, tailoring the tour to our own interests as we expressed them. Brilliant tour. Dave is so knowledgeable. So much information. Adapted the tour for our group so it was even longer. Brilliant. Joined him afterwards for an excellent dinner at Guy Fawkes pub. Highly recommend Fave Haw. Lucky if you get him!

Outstanding tour. Make an effort to book with Dave Haw Tours
I did Dave’s Friday am tour solo and it was great 👍🏻. I didn’t have much time (approx) 1 hour and Dave was able to tailor a whistle stop tour of the main history highlights of York for me. He was extremely knowledgeable and the tour was really informative! I was only gutted I couldn’t have spent longer!
