We were in Charleston for a family wedding weekend. Most of us had never been there before, so we really wanted a concentrated way to get to know the city’s history. Our family gathered for an 80th birthday celebration in Charleston and our tour with Kay was one of the top, if not the top, experiences for each of us! She is extremely knowledgeable, witty, and made the history of Charleston come alive! She’s also insightful and funny and touched on architecture, anecdotes, and famous or infamous citizens as we wandered down little tucked away alleys and historic streets. We learned so much as she kept us moving, even though it was raining! She also recommended other things for us to do that turned out great. For example, she suggested we change our boat trip to Fort Sumter to the first boat so we could experience the flag raising. She also recommended we go to the Nathaniel Russell house because the docent is excellent. (And she was! ) We highly recommend Kay!
