My wife and had an excellent food tour from a passionate Chef George. We were excited to learn so much about olive oils, honey, fruit and vegetable preserves, deli meats etc. George helped us do shopping for unique Greek gifts for our adult children. My wife who is a very experienced cook and baker had great discussions with George who helped us acquire specialty spices and herbs. We really enjoyed his enthusiasm and knowledge.
Six ⭐️s! What a great way to see and learn about Athens. Yannis Ninos was a fantastic guide - so informative and so much fun! He brought is to the best shops, we ate and ate and ate so bring your appetites. Im hoping i learned how to make a Hreek salad to rival the original. This is a must do!
Panos was a superbly accommodating and knowledgable guide who was exceptionally amicable and energetic while showing us the cuisine in Athens. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Panos to get a flavor of Greek street food!
We were lucky enough to spend the afternoon today tasting the flavours of Athens and learning about local culture and history with Yannis Ninos of Athens Insiders. In addition to being a fabulous guide, Yannis is also a chef and a food lover who truly enjoys sharing his passion with his clients, which made the tour an unforgettable experience for all of us, including (especially!) our kids aged 11 and 7. Yannis tailored the tour to suit us - and we tasted olive oils, sweet pastries, savoury pies, souvlaki and more. We learned a lot and feel well prepared to eat well on the rest of our holiday in Greece. Our one regret... not having more time in Athens to do a morning tour to the markets with Yannis or a cooking class with him! Can’t recommend highly enough.
