I highly recommend Basque tours. My wife and I are quite adventurous but if you’re looking for Pintxos is great to have them guide you through the old town on your first night to get the lay of the land. We had and absolute blast and would recommend to all visiting San Sebastián!
A wonderful evening with Vero, who walked us through the city’s beautiful sights before our culinary journey through 5 different pintxos bars in San Sebastian’s Old Town. We learned so much about the city, its culture and gastronomy. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful day with our lovely guide Begonia! We began the day at a family run sheep farm high in the hills in Basque Country. Very authentic and interesting, and the cheese was delicious! We continued on to a wine tasting of the local Basque wine txakoli at a beautiful vineyard overlooking the ocean. A light meal of local delicacies was provided along with the wine. A stop at a quaint fishing village was next where walked around and enjoyed the local ambience. Then it was back to San Sebastián after a full and enjoyable day. Basque Tours made the day smooth and stress-free. We were picked up at 9am in a mini van at our Airbnb, all the details of each stop were handled by our guide, and we returned home just after 4pm. Our guide, Begonia, was wonderful - personable, engaging, and knowledgeable. She made sure we were well taken care of at each stop, answered all our questions and really enhanced our experience with her knowledge of the Basque culture and of the local area. All in all, it was a great day and a perfect way to explore the surrounding countryside of San Sebastián. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful evening walking through San Sebastián with Itziar, a wonderful lady who guided us through the important sites around town explaining the history and significance of each location. Afterward, we headed to the old town and sampled five different local bars with the local Pintxos different at each one. It was a great way to experience the city and the local cuisine. We visited locations she visits for herself and she was well known to many of the proprietors. The tour was about 5 hours which went by very quickly. We had a lovely personalized experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the gastronomy and history of San Sebastian.
Amazing tour with our guide Jon. Very knowledgeable and great personality. The pintxos and wine were phenomenal! This is an excellent way to experience some gourmet pintxos and local wines. This is a MUST DO on your trip to SAN Sebastián.
We had an excellent experience with Basque Tours. Our guide Maria was a super star. Very knowledgeable, kind and charming. Her energy and passion really added to our experience. The bars she selected for us were some of the best. Food and wine were amazing. Totally worth it and must do in San Sebastián.
We had a fabulous pintxos tour! Our guide Kai was informative, fun and engaging. Despite the torrential rain we trudged through we had a spectacular evening!
My wife and I did the full day scenic tour of San Sebastián including the Pintxos Bars. An amazing experience that really covered San Sebastián. Our guide Kai was the best we ever had in our travels. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. The food and drinks in the Pintxos Brs were great. We trusted Kai to select the best things to try. We would not have experienced San Sebastián the same without the amazing tour. We are grateful. John
We visited San Sebastián for 48 hours and this tour was the highlight for all of us. We were picked up outside our accommodation at 10am and visited the stunning beach and cliffs at Zumaia. After a quick coffee stop we headed to a local Txakoli winery and sat on the terrace soaking up the sunshine and stunning coastal views while enjoying the wine and a spread of delicious local produce. We then headed to the village of Getaria for a stroll and some drinks. We were dropped back at our apartment at 4pm. Our guide Begonia was a sensational tour guide - kind, knowledgeable genuinely keen to teach us all about this rather special place. We learnt much about the Basque region, wine, geology and so much more! A perfect tour tailor made for us! We’ll be back for the Rioja tour…. Thank you Begonia!
Informative and delicious tour with Itzia. She was brilliant. Got us into the best cafes/bars and had a scholarly knowledge of the city too.
