Mahane Yehuda Market illustrerer mangfoldigheden af det israelske samfund og fødevarerne fra de forskellige etniske grupper, der er resultatet. Mellem en bid Sabich og en bid Kenafe vil vi høre historien om grundlæggerne af markedet, de forskellige fødevarer og om kunstneren, der en aften besluttede at dekorere butikkerne med graffiti og forvandle markedet til et galleri.

Vi vil turnere et af kvartererne i Nachlaot og forstå, hvorfor der var behov for et marked tæt på.
Vi vil smage fremragende israelsk mad og drikkevarer fra de forskellige butikker på markedet og lære om det israelske samfund gennem dem. Kom sulten!

Orna was amazing! Both at the Davidson Center and at the shuk tour, she was very focused on everyone’s needs. She was great with the adults and children in our group. We had a fun and educational experience!

Orna was a really great tour guide!! She shared interesting information and made the experience fun for all ages. We got to sample different dishes that were authentically Mediterranean and learn about the culture along the way.

Orna was terrific. Intelligent, educated and fun to be with. Her command of the history and religions in Jerusalem is nothing short of extraordinary. And, she is so personable, that halfway through the tour it felt more like she was family. If you tour Jerusalem with her BE SURE to end it with her culinary tour of the Mahane Yahuda market.
