Great experience! Mark was great to spend the day with and he was very informative. He even had jackets and blankets for the chillier weather. The penguins were fantastic!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Mark's Tours while visiting Melbourne. We did two different tours with them over multiple days — one to the Yarra Valley wineries with Claire and another with Mark himself to Phillip Island and Moonlit Sanctuary. Everything was exactly as described and incredibly well organized. Claire was fantastic on the Yarra Valley tour — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day feel relaxed and fun while still keeping everything running smoothly. Our tour with Mark to Phillip Island and Moonlit Sanctuary was equally great. Mark was professional, personable, and clearly passionate about making sure everyone had a great experience. We never felt rushed and were able to really enjoy each stop. Communication throughout the entire booking process and during the tours was perfect — clear, prompt, and very professional. Highly recommend Marks Tours if you’re looking for a well-run, personalized touring experience around Melbourne. It was a highlight of our trip.

We had an excellent day with Clare. She stepped in last minute when Mark was sick and we totally lucked out. She is warm, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. She was attentive to our needs and flexible, even making a slight detour to look at the fancy cars when our teenage son noticed a racetrack down a side road on the way to see the penguins. We were a little worried about a 10 hour tour, but it went by quickly because we were in such good company and so well looked after. When we went to the penguin viewing area at dusk, Clare gave us cushions and blankets and told us the best places to sit for the best view. On our way back to Melbourne, she took us to a local spot for the freshest fish and chips ever! Highly recommend Mark’s company and Clare as a guide.

Just the trip we needed to beat the jetlag having only arrived in Melbourne the night before. Packed in so much more than expected including St Kilda’s Beach and the Brighton bath boxes before heading to Phillip Island. Undoubted highlight of the tour was the little penguin parade, but also loved the swamp wallabies. Mark was a fount of knowledge re Melbourne/Aussie life and very easy company for the 10 hours of this trip. It worked very well for the wide age range of our group - 18 to 81. Would thoroughly recommend.

We did TWO tours with Mark, this one and also the 1/2 day tour of Melbourne. Mark is the BEST tour guide that I had in Melbourne and in Australia (we had 5 different private tour guides between Sydney, Melbourne, Hamilton Island, Tasmania and Bruny Island). Mark loves what he does and excels at it. He is very knowledgable and extremely flexible and accommodating. He knows his stuff really well and adapts to changes in weather, traffic, etc. He has a great SENSE of HUMOR and he is just VERY NICE. He got us FIRST in line for the private experience with the Koala at the Moonlit Reserve (we could had waited 40 minutes in line if it was not for him). EVERYONE knows him when we got to any place, and he got the royal treatment for us. The tours and his explanations were excellent. I wish I could find a "Mark" at any city that I visit. !!!!!!

Mark take care of my family very well throughout the whole trip (we are traveling with a 3 yo child and 2 elderly). He cater to our request and is flexible with the plan. We also managed to catch the best seats at the front of the viewing deck to see the penguins returning back to their burrows.

No regrets choosing and paying for this private tour! Mark shared so much knowledge & history of Melbourne. Mark also brought us to the best spots in all the different activity. Best & most entertaining tour guide! 👍🏻 If anyone is choosing Mark for your tour guide, you are very taken care of, trust me. Look at Mark carrying all the rain coat, blankets and seat cover, so that out butt don’t get wet during the penguin tour.
