We had a fantastic experience on the **Private Mythology Athens** tour with **Alternative Athens** last Friday. We were a family of four with two children (21 and 16), and despite the very hot weather, the tour was enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide, **Mene**, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, giving us fascinating insights into the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora through the lens of Greek mythology. She made the history come alive and kept everyone interested throughout. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of ancient Athens!

Our group of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 4, 7, 9, 9, and 11) booked the private Athens Highlights Mythology Tour, and it was absolutely the best decision we made. From start to finish, it turned what could have been a stressful day into a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. Our guide was wonderful. She was able to keep all five kids engaged for the entire 4 hours. The children enjoyed the mythology stories, and the adults learned a good amount as well. It was the perfect balance of education and entertainment for everyone. What really set this tour apart was how effortless it made navigating the crowded sites of the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora. Having a guide to lead the way, skip the logistical headaches, and find the best spots for the kids to explore made our lives so much easier. The biggest surprise was how energized we felt afterward. Even though the tour was 4 hours long, our guide paced it so perfectly that we weren't exhausted. We actually had the energy to visit the Acropolis Museum in the evening, armed with all the context we had just learned. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough for families. It transformed our visit into a relaxing, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience.

Our tour guide, Costas, was amazing. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable that he was able to bring the history of the area to life. You need to be aware that it is a very physically demanding walk. I’m an out of shape 50 year old that could do it. But I certainly slept well afterwards. Overall an awesome tour.

We had a wonderful time with Alex who gave us a well planned tour of some of the most important sights in Athens. He was full of interesting stories about the ancient city as well as the modern and answered all of our questions and more! His knowledge of Greek mythology was unending and really brought all of the sites to life. Would highly recommend!!
