Vores første stop vil være det smukkeste, det mest antikke og det mest imponerende monument i verden. Akropolis. Herfra vil vi forestille os livet i det antikke Grækenland, og vi vil tale om livet for de mennesker, der skabte kulturen
Vi besøger Panathenaic Stadium, hvor de olympiske lege begyndte. Panathenaic Stadium er et klassisk og kulturelt monument over Grækenland og et af de vigtigste monumenter ikke kun for Athen, men for hele Grækenland. Det er en af vores bys mest populære turistattraktioner og et af Athens vartegn.
Vi går mod Constitution Square (Syntagma Square) i hjertet af det moderne Athen. Vi tager billeder af Evzones. Navnet Evzones eller Evzonoi henviser til medlemmerne af præsidentgarden, en ceremoniel enhed, der beskytter den græske grav fra den ukendte soldat
Vi fortsætter med at besøge den smukkeste neoklassiske bygning i Europa. Akademiets hovedbygning er et af Athens største vartegn og en del af den såkaldte Trilogy. Organisationen af Akademiet i Athen, hvis titel går tilbage til det gamle Platonakademi, blev først oprettet den 18. marts 1926.
Vi ankommer til rådhuset i Athen og Kotzia-pladsen, der oprindeligt blev navngivet Ludovicos plads til ære for kong Othons far (Othon var den første konge af Grækenland).
Vi vil se Varvakio .... Varvakios Agora (Athens centrale marked). Dette er bogstaveligt talt Grand Central Station af mad. Foretag ingen fejl; alle butikker er her, fra berømthedskokke til dagligvarebutiksejere

Wonderful and informative guide (Mercury). We would 100% do this again. Acropolis in the evening after cruise ships folks have left is the way to go! No huge crowds and a beautiful breeze and sunset.

We are a couple from Mexico and we were lucky enough to take this tour. The knowledge of the guide, Paris, is extraordinary. Not only in terms of culture, but also in ways of getting there earlier, avoiding crowds, and locating the best places where local people eat and drink. The same goes for the driver we had, Nicholas, who was indispensable in dealing with such a vibrant city full of people and cars. motorbikes and buses as is Athens. Athina the managing director was amazing at helping me plan the prefect private tour to see as many of the amazing sights of Athens in just one day. She communicated all options available and even customized the trip to meet some of my needs including airport transfer which I would highly recommend as it made our trip after a long flight an easy pleasant experience. The driver and vehicle who took us on the tour were prompt, professional and fun, our tour director for the day was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, fun and absolutely dedicated to making sure we had the best day ever. The private tour was so well organized that the day flew by and was simply amazing when I look back at all that we were able to see and experience and with no worries or stress to see all that we wanted to. We absolutely loved our tour! It was a great way to see all of the city highlights in a private, efficient way! Not only did we do the acropolis but we went by parliament, the Olympic stadium and then we ended the tour going through various markets such as the meat market, fish market and veggie market. Then we went to a market where they sell fresh spices and we had a light tasting/lunch. It was fabulous! It was the perfect amount of history entering without feeling like it was too much.
