At the last minute we decided that we wanted to see the locks Agua Clara and Gatun on the Atlantic side and the Caribbean side of Panama. Angel, the tour company owner, answered our call and said he would do the tour. The weather for the day forecast rain, but you never know if it will happen so off we went to Agua Clara. It was a good trip made special by Angel’s historical facts. The locks were not at all crowded so we got an up close view of a huge ship going through the locks. We went to Colon, but it is not a place I would recommend. On the way back to our hotel Angel got off the highway and drove through a beautiful national park. It did rain, but the rain didn’t dampen our experience!
Ivan is a very friendly guide with a lot of humor and has a very extensive knowledge of Panama in every area. He is really flexible and does everything to give us the best experience. We can warmly recommend him
Excellent tour. The driver /guide Alfonso Payne was very attentive and kind and was always at our disposal. He made the stops we asked, without rushing and giving all the necessary explanations.
Alonso was outstanding even with the language barrier he did an excellent job. Accommodated us the entire way. Would book his tour again . The vehicle was comfortable and cool.
My guide was fantastic. Knowledgeable and very attentive to ensure that my experience was as positive as possible. The day began with a visit to the locks at Aguas Claras. After that we headed to San Lorenzo where things began to unravel as the weather conditions continued to deteriorate. Due to heavy rain, San Lorenzo was closed. We headed to Colon but the bridge was washed out from the rain and we ended up stranded on the road with probably 1000 other people. We were stranded for over six hours until the Panama Canal authorities open up a closed service road which allowed us to circumvent underneath the Atlantic Bridge and get into Colon by this back service road. Once we got into Colon, we got onto the AutoPista and headed directly back to Panama City and arrived at approximately 10:30 PM.
The travel experience to Colon was great. I appreciated the water and cool air conditioned vehicle provided. Our tour guide was a very nice gentleman. The power might’ve been out at San Lorenz it was difficult to read the signs. Overall great tour!
This was an amazing and education tour of the city with a guide that shows lots of pride in his country. Angel worked with us to customize and we even made some adjustments on the tour to ensure we could see the best of the best. I highly recommend this tour group.
