The 3-day tour of the Volta Region with Vince from Mood of Hope Tours was one of the highlights of my time in Ghana. Vince and his driver were incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. Vince is an outstanding guide—knowledgeable and passionate to make sure his guests have the best possible experience. Throughout the trip, he shared fascinating insights about Ghanaian culture, history, and the communities we visited. Mount Afadjato - The trek was both enjoyable and rewarding, and reaching the summit to take in the spectacular views was an unforgettable experience. Visiting Wli Waterfalls was equally amazing. The hike through the beautiful forest was peaceful and scenic, and seeing the falls up close was absolutely breathtaking. The natural beauty of the Volta Region is stunning. Don't miss the opportunity to meet and feed the mona monkeys. As much as I love hiking, the monkeys and getting so close to them was the highlight of this trip. I highly recommend Mood of Hope Tours to anyone visiting Ghana. Vince will provide an unforgettable experience filled with beautiful scenery, fascinating culture, and exceptional hospitality.

My trip to Ghana with MoodofHope was unforgettable, thanks to my amazing guide Vince. From the very beginning, he made me feel completely safe — traveling in Ghana with him is truly secure and stress-free. We explored Accra, the Volta Region, and Elmina and Cape Coast, but the Volta Region was the highlight of the journey. Vince surprised me with an unexpected village experience, including local food and visits to schools — something deeply authentic and perfectly organized that left me speechless. We also visited Mount Afadjato and the Monkey Sanctuary, which made the experience even more special. This was my first time in Africa, and Vince turned it into an exciting and emotional journey, leaving me with a strong desire to return. What better way to experience a holiday than to get out of the city and into the countryside and connect with local culture, nature and sites? A guided tour seemed the only way to go, and we were very lucky to find Vince: He is super knowledgeable about the area, having grown up in a village in the Volta region and a father as a high ranking tribe member. Even more, he is flexible and empathetic to the needs and interests of his clients – he wants everybody to have the experience of a lifetime. From before the tour started we discussed itinerary and even on the trip we made changes as locations, rain and interests warranted. I have had many tours where this was neither an option nor offered/understood by the guide. If you get a chance to go outside of Accra for a couple of days, Vince is your man – I would book this again in a heartbeat.

We took this tour with Vince in November 2025. It was the experience of a lifetime. We learned so much from him, who is not only extremely knowledgeable about Ghana in general and the Volta Region in particular, but also a very kind and considerate guide. And funny!
