Denne madtur er som en historielektion gennem mad. Slut dig til mig, en lokal i Prag og andre foodies fra hele verden, og lad mig tage dig med på en rejse fra traditionel til moderne tjekkisk mad. Vi besøger 4-5 forskellige pubber, restauranter, kaffebarer og barer, og jeg vil forklare, hvorfor vi tjekker spiser, hvad vi spiser. Jeg vil fortælle om min barndom, da jeg voksede op i Prag, hvordan det var at leve under det kommunistiske styre og besvare ethvert af dine spørgsmål. Vi vil også tale om turistfælder, hvad du ikke skal gøre i Prag, og jeg vil give dig tonsvis af tips og anbefalinger, ikke kun til Prag, men dine fremtidige rejsedestinationer. For vi ved alle, hvor dårlig mad kan ødelægge din ferie.

Vi starter vores madtur i den gamle bydel, hvor vi spiser mere traditionel tjekkisk mad. Ind imellem al spisningen og drikken går vi til vores næste stop, og jeg vil tale om tjekkisk historie, arkitektur og mine personlige oplevelser med at bo i Tjekkiet.
Vi vil besøge Wenzelspladsen, og jeg vil tale om vores kommunistiske fortid og den demokratiske nutid i Tjekkiet. Vi kommer ind på politik og religion, men kun hvis du insisterer og efter et par øl ;)
Vi vil besøge lokale og kommende kvarterer som Karlin eller Vinohrady og tale om det nuværende liv i Prag og Tjekkiet. Vi vil diskutere uddannelse, sundhedspleje og barselsorlov, mens vi drikker og spiser guilty pleasures.

Food choices were excellent and tailored to our group. He is very personable and has a strong knowledge of the culture and history, which we greatly appreciated. Martin has an expansive knowledge of food styles and preparation and can provide recommendations of places to try based on your interests and preferences. The tour felt well paced, thoughtfully organized, and gave us a much better sense of Prague beyond the typical tourist experience. We left full, learned a great deal, and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

We learned about and enjoyed classic dishes. Our guide, Martin, took us to a pub, restaurants and wine bar where we got to experience a variety of foods. We learned about the origin of the dishes and tips on how best to spend our time in Prague. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Prague!

Wonderful food tour! Martin showed us to 4 places where we enjoyed both traditional and modern Czech food and drink and ended with some coffee and dessert. Martin shared Czech history, sprinkled in current events, and he answered all our questions throughout. He was an amazing local guide with such pride for his country. Highly, highly recommend this tour. Come hungry!
We had a great time with Martin in Prague! He took us to 5 different places for traditional Czech food and beverages, while providing a lot of background and history on Czech customs. The portions were large and everything was delicious. We also walked a bit in between stops and he gave us some history and stories along the way. I highly recommend this tour!
What a stupendous tour with Martin. Martin showed us the best food and drink in Praha. We appreciated Martin's extensive knowledge of history, culture and all things culinary and his great sense of humor. Spending s day in meat-centric Praha with a butcher with as added plus. Our tour with Martin was excellent in every way. Just tell him what you want and he will tailor everything to your needs. In our case it was Czech food and beer. We all really enjoyed getting to know him over the course of the tour. 10 of 10 stars!
Martin took us on the most delicious food tour, highly recommend! We got to try some new things and everything was high quality. You will certainly get your money's worth and then some. Food, beer, coffee, lemonade, desserts were all so yummy. We also learned a lot about the city and its history and got to see a lot of areas. Martin went out of his way to give us lots of recommendations (and traps to avoid), he was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend booking this tour at the beginning of your visit - thank you for a wonderful experience, Martin!
