I got lost and walked all the way down the river to the Rebello Hotel because my Google maps said that was the Cais da Gaia. The concert is in the green building on the riverfront closer to the bridge. The people at the door are extremely nice. The music was fantastic.
Quaint small setting. One hour was just the right amount of time to get an idea of what Fado music was.
Beautiful singing, delicious wine, and very accommodating - they opened with a love song in honor of our honeymoon!
Enjoyed the music and the experience! It was a nice add to our Porto trip! Great location too to see more before or after.
The show was great. You get a glass of port and my son got a juice. The musicians were very talented and able to communicate in multiple languages, which was cool. The performance was about an hour, which is perfect if you are bringing kids along. We did the 5pm show and the timing and length was perfect. Would definitely recommend!
50 minutes of exceptional quality. It is a shame that we could not ask questions at the end. Very good Porto.
Very authentic Fado show. The singer was wonderful and the musicians were great. Good location and a complimentary glass of port served as well. A great way to immerse yourself in the culture and history of Porto.
Excellent Fado concert, the singer and two guitarists were so talented and it was a lovely bonus to have a glass of port to enjoy it. It was an intimate setting and the right length of time for us (1hr)

That you will learn nothing about Fado & what it means in their culture. Didn’t show the instruments, didn’t explain or give any hints about what the singer was so passionately signing about. You could have listened to the music on radio or pandora…. You don’t need to waste $ going there. When I asked one of the musicians about it after the show- he was rude & said the music you just had to experience as it was. 😳

We intentionally do not offer tourist-oriented explanations, history lessons, or translations during our sessions. Our goal is to provide a genuine cultural experience rather than a commercialized tourist product. We believe that true art speaks for itself, and that live Fado, with its raw acoustic energy, creates a unique atmosphere and connection that could never be replicated by listening to a recording on the radio or Pandora. Regarding your interaction with one of our musicians, we are sorry if their response felt dismissive. Fado is a deeply intense and personal art form, and when our musicians state that "Fado must simply be experienced," it comes from a place of profound respect for the tradition, even if it may sometimes be misunderstood as blunt.
