We booked this trip on our tour companies recommendation (half day trip). There were 6 adults plus a guide in each of the boats (about 6 boats in our group but spaced out well). It was a relaxing 2 hour float with the guide pointing out numerous animals and birds. Sloth, monkeys, Brazilian long-nosed bats etc in the trees. Finished off with a chocolate presentation and a drink / late breakfast at the end. Orlando and Joseph our guides were great.

Enzo and Mauricio were very knowledgeable guides and told us all about the plants and animals along the trip. They were able to show us toucans, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, iguanas and even an owl. It’s was a great trip for our family.

Amazing tour. Full of information, beautiful sites. We saw monkeys, toucans, all sorts of birds etc.

Not a bad tour and our guide Savioni was great but a couple of things stood out relative to our other activities. 1. It was shorter than anticipated (1 1/2 hours on water). 2. The price was too high relative to our other activities. We some some random birds and a troop of howler mo keys. It cost more than our other half day activities and yet my kids ranked it at the bottom.

Carlos and Carlos were our guides and were excellent! Knowledgeable and funny. We saw a lot of howler monkeys, iguanas, birds, and a sloth. Few other animals too. You can get really close. Tour was relaxing and fun. Water was crystal clear so could also see fish. Best tour we took, and we did quite a few during our week stay in La Fortuna. Worth the money and to wake up early. Saw the most wildlife on this your than any hike. Carlos was able to point out so much that we would have missed.

These tours are also available on the green river Rio Celeste, we had decided on a several-hour drive on the Rio Penas Blancas and did not regret it. Whether it was the same organizer as here, I can't say any more. The Rio Penas Blancas is a brown river, quite wide in some places, churning through the middle of the tropical rainforest. We were equipped with life jackets, for headgear, binoculars and sun protection they should provide themselves. Also suitable for children, they are guaranteed not to get bored. Right at the beginning, our guide attracted a horde of howler monkeys, which he attracted by mimicking their sounds. We have seen countless of them in the huge trees during the whole journey. Also impressive are the many, quite large crocodiles that rested on the shore or swam around. In addition to kingfishers, toucans and parrots, there were still untamed other species of birds or butterflies on display. Sloths, nose bears, turtles and anteaters were also seen throughout the ride. The rainforest itself was the most overwhelming, with all its colourfulness and sounds. You must have experienced this yourself. In between, we rested on the shore, where we got besides a delicious snack also drinks and melons, as well as the advice, on ,no way to go to the water or wash our hands there,.crocodiles smell every chance ;-) In our case, the unforgettable tour ended at "La Concina Tita Yolanda", where we had something too hot to eat and the farewell drink. I can only recommend a trip on the Rio Penas Blancas by inflatable boat.
Vielen Dank für diese tolle Beschreibung! Was für ein Tag — Brüllaffen, Krokodile, Tukane, Faultiere und Ameisenbären, und das alles mitten im Regenwald. Schön zu hören, dass unser Guide die Affen mit ihren eigenen Lauten angelockt hat — das ist immer ein besonderer Moment für unsere Gäste! Und der Hinweis mit den Krokodilen am Ufer... absolut richtig — die wittern wirklich jede Gelegenheit 😄 Wir freuen uns, dass der Ausflug von Anfang bis Ende gestimmt hat, einschließlich des Abschlusses bei Tita Yolanda. Hoffentlich bis bald wieder in Costa Rica!
We loved this trip. Transportation was on time. Everyone was friendly. We saw monkeys, a sloth, and a couple crocodiles. There was some light occasional paddling involved which was fun. Would recommend 100%!!

We booked this trip on a recommendation. There were 6 adults, a child and the guide. It was a relaxing 2 hour float with the guide pointing out numerous animals and birds. Sloth, monkies and a Jaguarundi in the tree tops. All finished off with an excellent lunch.
