Derfra tager vi direkte til Panama Canal Miraflores besøgende center (indgang ikke inkluderet), en af landets mest ikoniske vartegn. Dette besøg er planlagt, så 100% du vil se skibe, herunder massive skibe, der passerer gennem låsene kun meter væk, hvoraf nogle betaler over USD 120.000 til transit af Panama-kanalen, understreger dens vitale rolle i den globale handel. Du vil have tid til at udforske observationsdæk og lære, hvordan låsene fungerer, samt historien bag dette verdensberømte ingeniør mirakel. Miraflores Lås er et af de bedste steder at forstå, hvordan Panama-kanalen fungerer. På Stillehavets side kan besøgende se skibe løftes eller sænkes gennem det oprindelige låsesystem ved hjælp af ferskvand fra Gatun Lake og tyngdekraften alene. Fra observationstæpperne ser gæsterne skibe passere kun meter væk, mens de lærer om kanaloperationer gennem udstillinger. Besøget omfatter IMAX Theater, der indeholder en film i høj opløsning fortalt af Morgan Freeman, der forklarer kanalens historie, teknik, global betydning og udvidelsen med de nye låse, hvilket skaber en komplet og engagerende oplevelse.

This tour greatly added to my experience of visiting the canal. We arrived at a perfect time to see ships going through, were guided through lines and security, and told the best lookout points. The timing for the ships and IMAX was excellent. Plus we learned more about the canal on the drive in both directions. I am so glad I chose this tour as my way to visit.

My grandson and I loved the entire experience! Panama Canal is a spectacular mechanism of engineering and a beautiful and breathtaking site that you have to see, with your own eyes, in person. I cannot describe the captivating experience enough that one can picture it. Saul our tour guide messaged me on WhatsApp ahead of time to let me know what time he would pick us up. He met us in the lobby, introduced himself and safely drove us to the Panama Canal. During the drive and the entire tour, he was sincerely warm, professional and highly intelligent and provided us with a wealth of knowledge, information and history of Panama and the Canal. You can genuinely feel the love he has for his country & culture! I would recommend Saul to anyone coming to Panama and wanting to learn more about it. In fact, I have no doubt that we were paired with the best tour guide anywhere!!! Hands down! I’ll be back soon as I am putting everything in place to relocate to Panama in the next, few short years and I would love to continue to learn more about this spectacular and beautiful country and its history.
