Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain-turen er ideel for alle, der håber at se de berømte regnbuefarvede bjerge, men ikke ønsker at vandre i timevis. Det er langt mere stille og mere uberørt end det klassiske Vinicunca regnbuebjerg. Denne tur er velegnet til alle fitnessniveauer, med så mange pauser til at få vejret, som du har brug for! I løbet af denne tur vil du se 3 forskellige, smukke farvede bjerge. På din vej dertil vil du være i stand til at se alpacaer og lamaer i deres naturlige habitat og bagefter besøge en kolonibro.

Køreturen til Palccoyo er cirka 3,5 timer, før vi gør det første stop i Combapata. Når vi når Palccoyo-passet, går vi op ad bakke i cirka 40-50 minutter (5000m/16.400ft). Her vil du have en spektakulær panoramaudsigt over tre Rainbow Mountain Palccoyo-toppe samt det højeste bjerg i Cusco-regionen (Ausangate). Vi vil bruge cirka en time her på at tage billeder og nyde den fantastiske udsigt. Herefter tager vi tilbage til vores private transport for at tage til Checacupe, hvor vi vil besøge dens fantastiske koloniale bro, (vi vil bruge omkring 20 minutter her for at tage billeder og udforske området). Herefter vil vi have tid til at nyde en lækker frokost lavet af lokalbefolkningen. Vi tager derefter vores private transport tilbage til Cusco (ca. 2,5 timers kørsel). Vi er tilbage i Cusco omkring kl. 17.00 og afleverer dig på dit hotel.
Det er vigtigt at nævne, at ruten til Palccoyo er ny, da det er en relativt ny attraktion, derfor kan vejene være meget ujævne i omkring en time hver vej, da regeringen ikke har asfalteret dem endnu.

We did a bunch of excursions while in the Cusco region and this is the only one that was managed well. The guide and driver were great, the meals were great and the mountains were amazing. Dress warm for the morning drive and know that you can leave your excess things in the van while you hike.

We had an experience. We were a group of 3 friends along with other people in a mini bus. There thing was very well organised. The guide who came along with us helped us in every step. He helped in climbing the mountain without any difficulty.

The tour is easy to hike. You need to be acclimated The Guide and the driver took care of us (seniors) a ton. Unfortunately the confirmed pickup time by Viator 6.30am did‘t fit to the time of our real pickup (4.30h information by the company). Maybe our special problem. Nevertheless A great impression.

Regarding the pickup time, there can occasionally be a discrepancy between the time shown on Viator and the actual departure time we communicate directly, we're sorry for any confusion that caused and will look into how we can make that clearer upfront. Excellent accommodation options, very attentive to our needs and above all we were taken care of very much and there was very good communication. Definitely highly recommended.

So pleased we did this tour! The altitude took our breath away but not as much as the rainbow mountains - they were awesome. I can’t believe how many there were. Very glad we did the tour with Into Peru as they were super. Punctual, friendly and well organised. An unforgettable day!

We thoroughly enjoyed this day trip, just be aware it’s at nearly 5000m altitude so you need to take your time to catch your breath - we are in our fifties! Everyone was very accommodating and the colorful mountains are a treat. We enjoyed the small group and transport was good. All round a fun and memorable day.

Totally adored this tour! The mountains are super pretty and we walked with a cute alpaca which a local man had there. Our group were so fun and Into Peru were fantastic. Had to take it slow because of the altitude but that was fine. Absolutely recommend!
