Tag med os på en vandretur i Salernos historiske centrum. Som dine lokale guider og venner vil vi med glæde vise dig historien og de lokale steder i vores hjemby! Salernum blev grundlagt af romerne i det 2. århundrede f.Kr., men den vigtigste periode for byen var i middelalderen. I denne tid var Salerno en af de vigtigste byer i Middelhavet, her blev verdens første medicinske skole grundlagt omkring slutningen af det 9. århundrede e.Kr. Sammen vil vi opdage historien og arkitekturen i middelalderen med et besøg i Saint Matthew Cathedral, et spektakulært eksempel på arabisk-normannisk arkitektur. Denne kirke rummer også en smuk krypt i barokstil. Vi vil også gerne give dig nogle tips, hvor du kan spise lokal mad, og hvor du skal tage hen for at drikke et glas vin på autentiske steder. Dette er en fantastisk tur også for en introduktion og orientering af alle skønhederne ved Amalfikysten, Paestum, Capri-øen, Pompeji osv.

Beautiful old city that is overlooked. Roberto is friendly and knowledgable. We learnt so much and it was fun for a few hours before dinner. The history is there if you go looking, but not commonly discussed . Not touristy at all, but enjoyable learning experience.
