Oplev den livlige og dynamiske by Rotterdam på denne spændende cykeltur (3 timer), der tager dig til nogle af de mest ikoniske og historiske steder, byen har at tilbyde.

Rejseplan
Vores første stop vil være foran Hotel New York. Vi vil fortælle om dens historie og nuværende brug. Også derfra vil vi have en fantastisk udsigt over den såkaldte 'tornado' som er den nye Fenix Museum of Migration.
Vi vil cykle over Erasmusbrug mod Maritime District, hvor vi vil stoppe ved Rotterdam War Memorial of WWII. Vi vil tale om broen og give en kort historie af Rotterdam i forhold til 2. verdenskrig.
Vi vil stoppe i Shipping Quarter ved fontenen, der engang var i centrum af byen. Denne karakteristiske del af Rotterdam vil give dig et glimt af, hvordan Rotterdam plejede at se ud før krigen.
Den såkaldte 'Museum Quarter' er et sted i Rotterdam, hvor nogle af de mest fremtrædende museer i Rotterdam er baseret, forbundet af Museum Park. Vi vil stoppe tæt på The New Institute og se på det helt nye Art Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, en af de nyeste ikoner, der blev tilføjet til Rotterdam og verdens første offentligt tilgængelige kunstdepot! Der vil være mulighed for en pause på 15-20 minutter på en af Rotterdams ældste shoppinggader, De Oude Binnenweg. Varigheden af pausen afhænger af gruppens størrelse og behov og kan justeres på stedet. Under pausen, kan vi enten bo sammen på en café bar eller du kan vælge at vandre rundt og udforske på egen hånd. Dette øjeblik er ideelt til socialisering, modtagelse af anbefalinger, opvarmning, afkøling eller simpelthen brug af toilettet. Bemærk venligst, at drikkevarer ikke er inkluderet.
Vores sidste stop før vi bringer cyklerne tilbage vil være foran den historiske rådhus i Rotterdam.
Vi vil stoppe tæt på pladsen foran St. Lawrence Kirke.
Den gule kubus huse kan være en af de mest berømte sightseeing steder i byen. Vi vil stå foran, tale om historien og tage billeder.
Market Hall (2014) gjorde Rotterdam ekstra berømt og er en moderne indendørs marked med masser af mad og farver! Vi kalder det også vores moderne Sixtinske Kapel, og du vil finde ud af hvorfor!
Vi cykler videre mod Kings Harbour Bridge, hvor vi stopper og dykker ind i dens historie!

My mum & I as part of our 5 day trip to The Hague wanted to experience a guided tour bike ride in Rotterdam. Elmer was available and he offered us a private tour at no extra fee. Elmer was very thorough to check the bikes tyres were inflated & we were happy with the seat heights. We agreed not to go too fast as we were cycling near main roads. Elmer explained the route we would take & what we would see. We stopped at several points so he could give us the history at that given site. Elmer is fluent in english, and he always gave clear hand signals as to which way we were going. A great 2 hours experience and Elmer is not only an excellent tour guide, but a thoroughly nice person and we would recommend him to anyone of all ages!
This bicycle tour is a great way to see the heart of Rotterdam, and Elmo is a fantastic guide full of knowledge and love for his city. The trip includes many stops to stretch your legs so you are not sitting on the bike for long periods. The bike lanes in Rotterdam are well marked and smooth, with every intersection having signals just for bikes alone. Note that we used pedal bikes (not e-bikes), but we are in our mid-60’s and had no problems. I highly recommend Elmo and this tour for a great experience!

Elmer is passionate about the city he grew up in. Rotterdam has seen dramatic change over its history. He has selected wonderful locations and topics. He tells Rotterdam's history in a personal way, not leaving out many of the ugly truths behind why things are the way they are. But above all, his optimism for the living experiment that is his growing, dynamic city shines through in his tour. This isn't a college kid who memorized some facts (although that kind of tour can be fun, too!). It's a good guy who found a way to share his knowledge and love of his home for a living. Bravo, Elmer!

The bike tour was an excellent experience. Elmer is a friendly and flexible guide. He shares things about the city that you won’t find in written guides. I definitely recommend choosing this activity. In three hours, Elmer takes you through all the main and important sights of Rotterdam. The ride is not demanding — it’s pleasant. This was a wonderful city bike tour with Elmer...curious, funny with very nice hot spots and information about the city. A very good mix of information, breaks and photo tops. Be sure to do this tour 🙂🚲🌇
