Sammen med mig, Renato eller Gaetano, alle kvalificerede guider med en dyb passion og kærlighed til byen. Byen Matera, med sine gamle kvarterer, betragtes som en af de ældste i verden. Et autentisk frilandsmuseum, der med spektakulær kontinuitet beskriver menneskets liv fra stenalderen til i dag. Ikke ligefrem en turisttur, trin for trin vil du opdage byens historie, historierne og omskiftelserne hos dem, der boede i Sassi, samt kunst og arkitektur. en 360° analyse af Matera “Italiens skam” og “Verdensarv”. It was a very informative tour, in spite of the heat! The guide, Gianni, was very knowledgeable, and focused on one area of Sassi. He also made sure we were protected from the heat, and showed us an extra cave.
Such an incredible tour! Matera is such a unique and fascinating city. Renato was excellent at sharing its history. Highly recommend.

This was a fabulous tour and our guide, Renato, was part of what made it so terrific. He was not only informed that he had a personal connection with this city, and it was that personal insight and connection that really brought the experience to life the city itself is incredible with a rich history and learning about the people and the way they lived was fascinating. This was fantastic!!! This city is so special and thanks to the local who guided us and told us everything, we now really understand how these people lived and lived in the caves. The whole city is an optical illusion.
This was a great tour provided by a very knowledgeable guide with first hand family experience of living in the old town. He brought it to life. Unique experience. Was very hot so wear a hat and take water, bumpy uneven ground.
A memorable 2-hour tour. It was full of interesting information and thanks to the personality of our guide, it kept us fully engaged in spite of the hot weather. I would recommend you wear comfortable shoes and begin your stay in Matera with this tour.

Wonderful tour with exceptional knowledge. We did the 1030 in the morning tour which meant the rest of the day we had already orientated ourselves. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining and brought to life the history of this wonderful place. It’s a must do if you are visiting Matera.
