Dit Northern Lights-eventyr begynder, når vores erfarne guide henter dig fra dit valgte pickupsted i Reykjavík, hvor du kører en specielt udstyret 4×4 super jeep designet til den kommende rejse. Når alle er om bord, vil vi efterlade byens lys bag os og venture ind i det store, rolige mørke på Islands landskab. Mens vi søger i himlen efter Aurora Borealis, kan ruten tage os forbi nogle af landets betagende naturlige landemærker - skjult i skyggen, men afsløret af din guides skarpe øje og viden. Ved at rejse langs mindre rejste landlige veje, undslipper vi mængderne og nyder en bedre chance for at være vidne til Nordlyset i al deres glans, sammen med den rolige skønhed af Islands nattehimmel.
Når forholdene ser rigtige ud, vil din guide vælge det perfekte udsigtssted baseret på aftenens vejrudsigt. Så er det tid til at slå sig ned og vente på naturens show. Nordlysene danser sædvanligvis omkring 100 kilometer over Jordens overflade – et udseende, der er født i nærheden af den nordlige magnetiske pol. At se bånd af farver svejse over himlen føles næsten jordløst, som om kosmos selv malede natten over. Sørg for at klæde dig varmt, da den islandske natluft kan være kraftig. En fleece trøje eller en af vores hyggelige tæpper vil hjælpe med at holde kølen væk, mens du venter. For at gøre øjeblikket endnu mere trøstende, serverer vi dig en dampende kop kakao kombineret med en sød chokolade. Og når Aurora dukker op, vil du ikke bare se det - du vil have hukommelsen fanget for evigt. This was a great. Our guide (H) really made the experience. He was adept at handling the vehicle confidently off-road through the snow, was passionate and knowledgeable about the science of northern lights, took great photos of the group and even told funny jokes. We saw an amazing show of northern lights and would definitely recommend.

The super jeep experience is totally worth it. The tour guide Mr H was great and very knowledgeable of the best spots and timing. He took us high on the mountains where there was a cloud opening and got some of the best lights of the season even when cloud coverage was very bad and snowy. During the same week we had booked a small tour with a different company on a small bus and it didn’t had the versatility that this tour had.

Tour guide was creative and honest about conditions. He found a spot for us to see lights even w bad conditions. Courteous and funny. Highly recommend
We were cancelled the original night due to weather, which happens, so booked on the following night, timings was advised to be at pick up 15 minutes early, the arrival was within this but you MUST be early. We were taken out the city and were told to be patient, it does not just happen and knew it was not guaranteed, went to a couple of different spots, but the driver felt where we stopped finally we had a high chance, he served Hot chocolate, biscuits and Vodka if you wanted it whilst we waited, we saw the Northern lights, had plenty of time to explore and watch and was never rushed, had some pictures taken which we had to look online to obtain but these were free also. The guide explained everything, advised it was not guaranteed, was patient and gave us some explanations on what we were looking for. Very succesful and enjoyable evening.

This is a great tour. Hjortur is a pro, he knows how to find the lights if the are happening. I would highly recommend. Plus, it's a cool ride.

I did this tour 2 nights in a row. First the day I landed (27/1/26) with tour guide ‘Buck’. He was brilliant. It was a very cloudy night, so he went off roading to try and find us some lights. This is why I booked this tour, over the big bus. We were lucky that we saw the lights, but it wasn’t the dancing experience I was hoping for. That’s why I booked another tour. I was given 10% off from the company due to being a returner. The next night I was with tour guide Klemmi. Klemmi was lovely and very informative. We saw the lights within a few minutes. He then drove us to a spot to wait. Around 23:10, Aurora chose to dance. It was incredible!!. Seeing the lights dance was something I dreamed off! Thank you to both guides. They were both great in their own ways.
