Absolutely incredible tour from Laurent~! I came in knowing very little about photography and what to even be looking for. I booked this as a last minute tour to get me to start using this camera I spent $1k on. It was well worth it! We went over the basics of photography that I didn't know anything about (speed, aperture, ISO) before moving onto building composition. Laurent was patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He worked with me from where I was at and I learned and developed so quickly in just a few short hours.

Great knowledge of the city. Great tips on capturing it's essence.

I have completed several Aperture tours across the globe. I decided while in New York to work with someone locally and was so happy I did. David Castillo was absolutely world class to work with. He was so kind, helpful, informative and I learned a lot with him not only about photography but New York City. Wonderful morning tour with Alexa. She taught me how to look at patterns and shapes within architecture. Her passion and enthusiasm for her art has inspired me.

Really had a fantastic private lesson with Dave Castillo who showed me the ins and outs of professional street photography. I booked very last minute so kudos to Aperture and Dave for setting me up quickly. Dave took me to his secret spots on where to capture and paint a story thoughtfully through the oh-so-local neighborhood spots in midtown. The 3 hours went astonishingly fast. Am looking forward to processing my images back home as well as to contemplate and ingest his photography recommendations for night and street photography. BTW, Dave is super personable and tailored his lesson to my skill level and needs. Shall book again.

My son and I did a tour with Alexandra hoping to gain insights into taking better photographs of Street Scenes and Architecture and the tour did not disappoint!! Under Alexandra’s excellent tutelage we learned how to make much better use of our Cameras and how to compose better images. The tour was excellent and I would strongly recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their photography or just get great images of New York.

This was an amazing tour. I learned so much about photography with tour guide David Castillo. He taught me techniques and skills and showed me areas of New York I would never have visited. These techniques I am now using with my photography. I would definitely highly recommend David if you want to up skill your photography and see the real New York. Thank you David.
