Jvari-klosteret er det georgisk-ortodokse kloster fra det VI århundrede. Det ligger på toppen af bjerget og tilbyder en spektakulær panoramaudsigt over den gamle hovedstad Mtskheta og sammenløbet af floderne Mtkvari og Aragvi. Jvary-klosteret blev erklæret som et UNESCO-verdensarvssted i 1994.
Den næststørste kirke i Georgien Svetitskhoveli-katedralen ligger i Mtskheta, som er en af de ældste byer i landet og en tidligere hovedstad. Svetitskhoveli er ofte besøgt af piligrimme over hele verden på grund af dets religiøse betydning og begravelsen af Kristi kappe. Sammen med Jvari-klosteret er Svetistkhoveli-katedralen opført som verdensarv af UNESCO.
Vi passerer den historiske by Gori, hvor det er muligt at stoppe og tage billeder af huset, hvor Joseph Stalin blev født, og til sin personlige skudsikre vogn eller besøge hans museum efter din anmodning (billetterne til museet er ikke inkluderet).
Uplistsikhe er en gammel huleby skåret i klippen i VIII Century B.C med uforglemmelige udsigter (har brug for en gåtur op ad bakke lidt, medium niveau). Det er muligt at besøge familiedrevet vingård eller Chateau Mukhrani efter din anmodning under denne tur.

Makho is such a great guide, who is knowledgeable, truly caring for his country and just a great person. My trip was personalized according to my interest and preferences. This tour was amazing! The archeological and cultural wonders were spectacular. The experience provided a very comprehensive history of Georgia, past and present. My guide, Gia, was not only very knowledgeable, but a great storyteller with an excellent sense of humor. Gia is also an amazing photographer! I typically hate having my picture taken, but he made me feel comfortable and look great. Awesome all around!

I spent a total of seven days touring with Makho, and I’m so glad I did. He is a wealth of information and works tirelessly to provide a deep dive into the history, culture, politics, and geography of Georgia. I learned far more than I ever could have on my own. He was also quite flexible with his planning, even while we were on the road, tailoring my tour to the things he could see excited me. He added extra stops as time allowed—places we hadn’t specifically discussed beforehand—making it clear that his priority was maximizing my experience. At this point, I consider him a friend, and I would very much look forward to seeing him again the next time I’m in Georgia.

We had a wonderful tour and an amazing experience thanks to our five-star guide. He gave a lot of clear and interesting explanations, was very friendly and talkative, and shared plenty of history, anecdotes, and local stories that made the trip truly memorable. You could really feel how much he loves his country and how proudly he promotes it. He was very serious about safety, with careful and smooth driving, and he gave us excellent tips during the tour as well as after. Everything was perfectly organized, making it an ideal experience for a family trip. We warmly recommend this guide and this tour!
We went on a 4 day tour with Makho Tours guided by Makho himself, and the tour from start to fiinsh was excellent. The tour was well organized and planned by Makho, and he also introduced us to the Georgia that many tourists do not get to visit, especially around the Tbilisi region. The personationlization, professionalism, and warm personality of Makho is what stood out the best. He always went the extra mile, and did more than any tour guide would. His explanations and personal experiences related to the historical sites, monuments, along with the different fables and culture added immense value to all the sites we visited. During the trip, he ensured that we as a family were comfortable and safe, along with providing insights and suggestions to make tweaks in the plan for the day that left us all happy. One would definitely find the experience worth the effort, and I would recommend Makho to anyone who plans to visit Georgia.
