We did the 2 days and 1 night Rinjani tour and had an absolutely amazing experience. The hike itself was beautiful, and the sunrise view was even more incredible. Our guide, Reno, was the best we could have wished for, he was kind, funny, and very caring. Whenever we struggled with parts of the route, he was there to help us. Even though it rained most of the time, he stayed positive throughout the trek, which helped us enjoy the experience (and even the rain!) even more :) On top of that, we forgot a jacket after the tour, and they were so kind to bring it back to our hostel afterwards! I would definitely recommend this organization to anyone booking a Rinjani tour!
We had an absolutly amazing expirience on the 2 days / 1 night trip to the crater rim with rinjani dawn adventures. Our guide Edi was very nice and helpful. The view at the crater rim was like nothing I ever saw before. Fantastic.
Very nice experience with our Guide Antone who took good care of us! Great team with porters. We were happy to choose this option, less dangerous and already well sported. Possibility to do it by the day. On the other hand you should equip the wearers with hiking/trails shoes (if you have old shoes do not hesitate to bring them back) Thank you to the team!
The hike up the Rinjani mountain is incredible, but what really got us to the top was the amazing care of our guide Misha and our porters. Our guide had a good pace, which he adapted to the needs of our group. He was very kind and chill and told us all about the mountain and the organisation of the hikes. Our porters prepared four warm and delicious meals on the mountain (incl. fresh fruit platters as dessert) and made sure we had enough snacks and drinks to keep going. When we arrived at the crater rim, they had already put up our tents on a nice spot with good views. We loved this trip!
Great experience! Great service and job. The guide and porter were very flexible and did all the best to meet my needs. Absolutely recommended
We did the 2 day 1 night hike with Jordy as our guide. He was absolutely amazing and made the experience very enjoyable. Definitely recommend booking with this tour group!
The hike was beautiful and our guide, Eddie, was awesome. Overall, it was a lot of fun, but what it was did not align with the description provided here on Viator. The description and reviews mentioned things like dining on chairs at tables and having everything set up when you got to each point. We ended up eating on mats on the ground and some lag between getting places and having things ready. This would not have been an issue, if we had not seen all of the other tour groups around us have all of these things at each stop. We were told by our guide that since we were a shared tour (us and other smaller groups) we did not get the full private tour experience that others got, but the description we booked off of here is for the full tour. Overall, I really recommend the hike and the guide was great. Just do some research to understand exactly what you are getting as this description and reviews were not accurate for what we got.
It was a very hard trek to the top and every time you think it can not possible get any worse than this it probably will. Our gouide and porters were super helpfull and very friendly. The food was also delicious. They made sure we had enough to drink and snacks on the way. Some decided to do the trek in normal sneakers and made it to the top but I wouldn‘t recommend it. The path was often very slippery due to gravel. There are no bathrooms after the starting point so bring wet wipes to freshen up. The toilette on top is a tent and a hole in the ground. Bring hand sanitizer. The tent is comfortable enough and the sleeping bag also relativly warm. It is very cold on the summit but the temperatur at the campsite was ok. I am female and cold very easily so here is my recommendation for clothing: Day 1 Short trousers and T-shirt (sun is very strong) There are some kind of moskitos untis position 4. Day 2 Long trousers, long sleeve shirt, fleece pullover and warmer jacket for the summit. Very cold on top especially after sweating. Short clothing for the way down.
It was my first proper trekking and it was tough but the guide Gacih motivated me to make it to the top. He was also helpful when I was coming down slowly. Very good view from the top with few clouds on that day.
Could not speak more highly of Steady Eddy my guide and the porters that looked after everything. Their food was outstanding, the portions were absolutely huge and full of goodness which is important for such a big trek. Communication and pickup with the tour company before hand was perfect. All food including snacks, water and tea/coffee is provided throughout, and there were plenty of breaks on the way up and down if you need. Camping arrangements up top are absolutely sound, I would bring plenty of layers for the crater/summit because it does get cold and windy. I would also note its been difficult to find tour companies with consistently excellent reviews in Indonesia, most have at least a few rouge 1 star reviews that put me off, but these guys are deserving of their 5 stars absolutely. One thing to mention is this trek is extremely challenging, it's an active volcano and the 3rd highest peak in Indonesia. The crater rim alone is double the height of the UKs tallest peak. It's a steep gradient pretty much the whole 7hrs up (including breaks) with very few flats to take the pressure off your legs. The reward for your struggles is spectacular! The 2D1N trip was pretty direct, it takes the quickest way up and down. If you want more waterfall/hot spring/summit action I'd suggest booking a longer trip with this company to take in more of what Rinjani has to offer!
