It was a very enjoyable trip to mount bromo with our guide Daundra. We felt very well taken care of throughout the trip from the pick up & at every location we were brought to. she gave us very good background & history on the places we went to and also was very fun to be around! took lots of photos and created content together as well. definitely recommend this to anyone visiting!

Absolutely perfect. We loved every minute of the tour. Our guide Tegar messaged us well in advance to make sure we knew what to pack and what to expect. Arrived on time, and took a comfortable drive all the way to the meeting point for the Jeep ride. The Jeep ride was thrilling! How they manage to negotiate those roads I have no idea, but it was so much fun. Then stopped for a coffee in a lovely cabin-style cafe, and waited for the move to the view point. Although it was chilly, we were well prepared with a warm fleece and a jacket, and were taken to a fantastic viewing spot. Several other tourists asked us where we had found our guide, because he was so friendly and spoke excellent English. He was able to tell us the stories of the mountain and the area. Then the sun came up- what a breathtaking moment! We stayed for as long as we wanted with no pressure to move on, and then had one more hot drink to warm up! Back to the jeep and a walk across the shifting sands to the rim on Mount Bromo. I won’t spoil it for you, but it was totally worth the climb. Tegar told us more stories of the volcano, and about life in Indonesia. Easy trek downhill (!) back to the jeep for photos, then a delicious breakfast. I couldn’t rate this trip more highly, it has been the best part of our adventure in Java. Thank you so much.

We had an absolutely amazing day, our guide Tegar was exceptional, pointing out all of the sites and ensuring we got a brilliant view. The trip was seamlessly organised, including confirming the details before the trip. Would love to do it all again.

Wow! One of the best experiences of our life. The all night drive is tiring so make sure you get some rest! 🤭 but once the adrenaline kicks in, we had a blast! We acclimated at 8700ft at a cafe to get coffee and fried bananas and boiled eggs to energize our bodies. And Becasue it was World Cup season, we all watched matches on our phones, cheering along the way. Climbing Mt Bromo was wonderful. We had a clear day for pictures. We saw the sun rise and watched shooting stars leading up to it. It gets cold up there so make sure to dress warm! And our guide Arya knew exactly all the facts, details and historical information along the way. He was the. MOST AMAZING! After taking lots of pictures, off to the sea of sand which was amazing and other worldly! Arya guided us up to mt bromo. 250 steps and then we saw the amazing crater. Then lunch, then off to the waterfall for a wonderful experience led by another local guide! He took great pictures and videos for us too! We couldn’t have had such an amazing experience without Arya. Thank you Bapak for your guidance and care throughout! Anyone would be lucky to get Arya! 🇮🇩

Our Guide Melati did a wonderfull job. We booked just one day before a daytime trip to mt Bromo and got a so friendly German speaking guide. Everything was individually planned. Our 3 kids were so happy to have here, she spends a lot time with them and make it even more relaxed for us. I would book a tour again with no doubt.

We recently booked our Mount Bromo tour with Cheapbromo, and it was absolutely incredible. Since it was our honeymoon, we were hoping for a special trip, and the team truly went above and beyond to make it memorable. They even surprised us with a lovely detail: personalized keychains as a gift, and they took some amazing drone videos of us! Our guide, Rikzy, was outstanding. He might be young, but he is incredibly experienced and a true nature enthusiast. He was always helpful, very attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we got the best photos. We knew that Mount Bromo gets very crowded for the sunrise, but this wasn't an issue for us. Rikzy knows all the secret spots and timed everything perfectly so that we had the absolute best location without being overwhelmed by the crowds. I also want to give a special shoutout to all the drivers. They were absolutely splendid, deeply involved in our well-being, driving safely, and always offering to help us take pictures. My Mount Bromo trip was an amazing experience from start to finish. Revi was a fantastic guide - super knowledgeable, friendly, and great at making the tour both informative and fun. I felt like I was in very safe hands, and everything was extremely well organised. The tour included a perfect mix of watching the sunrise, exploring the caldera, and enjoying lunch afterwards. Revi also took me to some incredible viewpoints away from the main crowds, which made the experience feel even more special. I’m so glad I did this tour and would highly recommend it!

Our experience on Mount Bromo was simply unforgettable, and much of it is due to our guide, Ikhsan, from Cheap Bromo. Our journey began in Yogyakarta, from where we boarded the train from 18h31 to Surabaya. When we arrived at the station, we were greeted by Ikhsan and the driver, who accompanied us throughout the experience. We followed about two hours by car to the Bromo region and then another about an hour and a half in a 4x4 jeep to the main sights. From the very beginning, Ikhsan demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the region. During the entire journey, he explained very clearly the history, geology, culture and local traditions, always in an excellent and easy to understand English. It was fascinating to know the spiritual importance of Mount Bromo for the Tengger people and to discover that the name “Bromo” derives from Brahma, the Hindu god of creation, adapted over time by the Java language. One of the most striking moments was watching the sun rise over Bromo, overlooking Mount Semeru, the tallest volcano on the island of Java, and the imposing Tengger boiler. The landscapes are simply spectacular and, with all the explanations of Ikhsan, we were able to understand even better the grandness of that place. What most impressed us, however, was how he conducted the whole experience. It wasn't just a guide taking us from one tourist spot to another. He transformed the visit into a true immersion in the history and culture of the region, answering all our questions and sharing curiosities throughout the journey. We were traveling with our 6-year-old son, and Ikhsan was extraordinary with him. During the whole tour he played, talked, made jokes, encouraged his curiosity and had a constant care to make him also enjoy every moment of the adventure. That attention made all the difference for our family. Another aspect that deserves to be highlighted was his genuine interest in getting to know a bit of our culture. Even conducting the tour in English, he showed curiosity in learning words in Portuguese and made the question of trying to communicate with us in our language whenever possible, creating a very natural and welcoming connection. In addition, Ikhsan revealed an amazing talent for photography. He took hundreds of photos of us throughout the trip and mastered very well techniques of photography, including night photography. At dawn, with the sky completely starred over the Bromo, he used features from his own cell phone, such as exposure adjustments, to record incredible images. It also suggested poses, frames and angles that made all the difference in the final result. It is rare to find a professional so prepared, attentive, patient and passionate about what he does. His experience, sympathy and dedication turned a trip that would already be amazing into a truly memorable experience for our whole family. If you are planning to visit Mount Bromo, I recommend Ikhsan and Cheap Bromo without the slightest hesitation. You will be in excellent hands. Hirman is the best. We're really glad that he was our guide for the Mt. Bromo sunrise tour. Even before we met up for the tour, we communicated with Hirman over WhatsApp and he explained everything very clearly and answered all our questions. Pickup was at midnight and we were off on an adventure. Our driver Kirun was excellent, it was about 1.5h in the car until we switched to the jeep, and he drove so smoothly that we could take a power nap in the car. The best thing about having Hirman as our guide was he put us in the best spot to watch the sunrise. There was no one to our left or right, and we had the perfect unobstructed view of the sunrise and the golden hour. He took really good care of us and took lots of photos for us too. Mostly importantly, he was very understanding of our situation and made sure my wife felt safe at all times. It really was a magical few hours, from seeing the stars in the dark of night to seeing the sunlit peaks. Truly an unforgettable experience. We would recommend this tour, Hirman as the guide and Kirun as the driver to everyone out there!
